This review is for a recent gel pedicure I got. I did my own gel manicure and wanted toes to match. $45 gel pedicure + $10 callus removal.
I really wanted to support a local place next to home. However, this place is overpriced, unsanitary, and mediocre because they cut corners. Chairs are old and dirty and by no means are "lavish."
I got my pedicure done by Kevin. My old gel polish was removed using only e-file. He used a USED SANDING BAND to file down my nail!!! Disgusting! These bands are cheap to replace and cannot be disinfected.
He asked me if I wanted him to scrub my calluses without telling me it was an extra $10 charge. I should've asked, I know now (I rarely go to nail salons so my bad). However, he barely did anything other than apply some gel on my feet and let it sit for a few minutes. There was barely any callus scrubbing beyond a very brief pedicure scrub.
The paint job and cutical clean-up was subpar- look at my pictures. Unclean lines, polish touching skin, polish not covering all of nail bed, etc. He didn't spend time cleaning up his lines with a brush.
Finally, the salon markets a 10 min massage as part of the pedicure package. I got no more than 2 min total. My tech rushed the service and did extremely mediocre work.
I've had much better service and pedicures at other salons for 2/3 the price. I could look past the lack of massage, but the paint job is so shoddy, I won't be returning (at least...

I’ve been to Lavish Nails several times, and each time, I’ve been treated poorly by the nail tech Bi. During my most recent visit, I asked Bi to remove the Gel X nail on my left pinky finger because I was in excruciating pain. Instead of showing concern or professionalism, he got visibly upset and insisted I must have “bumped it on something.” I told him that wasn’t the case and I needed it removed to see what was causing the pain. He became defensive, said he wouldn’t put anything else on that nail and then refused to do the rest of my nails. I agreed, because I value my health and comfort over a full set of nails.
This isn’t the first time Bi has been rude and disrespectful. He never greets me when I arrive, yet I’ve watched him warmly welcome white and Asian clients who walk in after me. I’ve even brought this up to him before, but he brushed it off. When I asked him directly if he would act this way if a white woman said she was in pain, he claimed he would—but based on what I’ve seen, I highly doubt it.
To top it off, the salon is not clean—the workstations are cluttered and the restroom is filthy.
I will never return to Lavish Nails. No one deserves to be treated like they’re a bother, especially when they’re in pain and paying for a...
Read moreI hesitated in my decision to rate this salon, but I had a negative experience and I think it’s worth mentioning. This place feels dirty. Whether or not it actually is unclean, it gave off that vibe. In most places this isn’t ideal, but this is definitely not something you want to feel while getting your nails done/in the time of COVID. The chairs are laid out to create a relaxed ambience, I suppose, but it did not have the desired affect. The employees did not look comfortable and I was upsold multiple times, all while getting cut by a sharp emery board. I felt childish about caring about being in pain from this during the experience, but then I remembered I came here to relax. The manicurist did a sub-par job - it felt as though she was being asked to work too quickly by her boss. I will not be returning - it wasn’t...
