A+! 100! 5 stars! Alexis has been the BEST dance instructor I could have ever asked for! I have had the pleasure of knowing her for over six years…from private wedding dance lessons with my ex (marriage did not work out but finding my dance instructor soulmate did LOL), to a new love this year for group latin dance. Dance has filled my spirit with the purest joy, during a very challenging and healing part of my life. It has been such a pleasure to learn from Alexis, meet new friends, have 2 hours of blissful learning & dance weekly…she even sets up beach dancing and going out to dance venues for fun! Alexis is truly a beautiful person, inside and out. She teaches with a constant smile on her face, music and her soul and kindness in her heart. She is so incredibly patient, whether teaching privately or multiple people at once. Her technique is impeccable and she really focuses on proper form, movement and flow. You are learning real movement and proper technique with her, but in a very non-judgmental, patient and compassionate environment…not to mention, it is so fun to make new friends and alternate dance partners in a cozy setting. I am so happy that I have found my home, and look forward to continuing group dance with Alexis for years to come! Thank you Alexis for being an incredible dance instructor & soul sister 💃🏻

I learned so much from Alexis in such a small amount of time. She’s like a surgeon when it comes to dancing. She will dissect every move and will explain it in a very detailed manner which will make you become a more solid dancer. I only started dancing bachata 3 weeks ago, and my friends can feel and visibly see my fast progress. But I’ll be honest, I’m truly hooked on bachata that’s why I give my full attention to learning and Alexis was the perfect instructor. As a side note, you can have the best teacher but if you’re not patient and give your 100%, you will not learn as much as you want. But Alexis makes teaching so fun that your attention will be laser focused. She will guide you depending on your skill level. Another thing that I like about her is that she has an extremely sharp intuition, she looks at me and she knows where I feel awkward, knows where I needed improvement and knows where my strength is. You won’t notice it but she is observing you 1,000% percent of the time! And I know you can only do that if one is a master of their craft. You can only truly know if she’s perfect for you when you personally experience it. I tried her introductory private lesson and I immediately knew she was the one.

This place is awesome for novices and experienced dancers alike. Alexis and team are fantastic teachers, they do a great job of explaining how to do each move and providing actionable feedback on how to improve your technique. This is huge and is quite different from the experience of a salsa class that is run by a salsa club. We practice in class and go out as a group. Each season lasts 8-12 weeks. I took a couple of seasons of Salsa 1 to learn the basics of both partnership and individual moves. Each of the seasons covered different techniques. I was constantly impressed how learning a move from an earlier week worked into a larger pattern later in the season. In salsa 2 the patterns get more complicated and fun! What makes this studio truly special, is that it's a place you can dance for years, make new friends and really become a great dancer.

Alexis is the type of teacher you’re fortunate to cross paths with in your lifetime. Her patient and supportive teaching style stands out as a beacon of rarity in the dance world. Equally unique is the vibrant community she has cultivated, a diverse group representing various walks of life, all sharing a profound passion for dance.

To anyone on the fence about beginning their dance journey with Alexis, I can vouch that you've hit upon a hidden gem. Her classes are unlike other group classes I've taken. She provides a judgement-free environment for you to explore and grow. Everyone present is there to enjoy themselves, and ego is scarcely found. It's truly beautiful to be part of such an enriching environment.

I hope that by sharing my experience I can help others find the courage to take the first step. Growing up I had always been surrounded by musicians and dancers. Somewhere along the road however I lost connection with that creative upbringing and focused on the analytical side of life. Gradually, this began to take a toll on me.

It wasn't until 2020 that an injury forced me to reevaluate the path I was on. That injury lead me to yoga and eventually to boxing. Boxing in turn imparted in me the importance of footwork and made it glaringly obvious that my stiffness and lack of fluidity would continue to hinder my growth. Thus, I used this as an opportunity to pursue dance.

For the next two year I tried various group classes. However, I would often leave those classes feeling even more confused than when started. After many attempts I began to lose faith in my ability to become a proficient dancer. It wasn't until 2023 that I decided to try one more time. I have always loved Bachata, but I felt that if I wanted to become a well-rounded dancer I had to learn Salsa. Thus, when I saw that Alexis offered both I immediately signed up for her Salsa class. Alexis then encouraged me to try her Bachata class. And so I did and everything suddenly clicked.

Not only did Alexis add fuel to my passion for Bachata, she also helped me believe that I could become a great dancer if I kept down this road. Alexis is very gifted in her ability to distill a seemingly complex sequence of movements into easy to follow steps. She is able to pinpoint very technical aspects of a move while also helping you see how those pieces fit into the bigger picture. She's the perfect teacher for us type A personalities. In fact her fascination with the often overlooked details is what makes her such a unique teacher.

In short, Alexis is the type of teacher that can not only impart knowledge but is also able to inspire change in their students' life. Thus, if you decide to embark on this journey with Alexis, know that you are...

As a man who had always felt self-conscious about his dancing abilities, I was hesitant to sign up for Alexis’s dance classes. However, I knew I needed to push past my fears if I wanted to improve my social life and enjoy myself at events where dancing was involved.

During my first class with Alexis, I was nervous and uncertain of my ability to keep up with the other students. But Alexis immediately put me at ease, starting with some basic steps and encouraging me to move to the music. Her approach was patient, compassionate, and supportive. She took the time to break down each move into small, manageable parts, providing clear and concise instructions that were easy to follow. Especially for the overthinker types AKA me.

As I progressed through the classes, it surprised me at how quickly I could pick up new steps and techniques. Alexis’s teaching style was effective in building my confidence and helping me to push past my self-doubt. I began to feel more comfortable on the dance floor and less self-conscious about my moves. Alexis was always there to offer guidance and support, whether it was through gentle corrections or words of encouragement.

One of the things that impressed me the most about Alexis was her ability to customize the lessons to suit my specific needs. She was attentive to my learning style and adapted her teaching approach to fit my unique needs. She was always willing to go the extra mile, taking the time to explain and demonstrate moves until I could execute without thinking about it.

Through Alexis’s expert guidance and patient instruction, I have been able to accomplish things I never thought possible. To the extent that my family and friends have noticed how much I’ve grown as a person and that they can’t wait to see how far I’ll go.. I now feel more comfortable and confident on the dance floor, and I am able to enjoy dancing at social events without feeling self-conscious. Her methods have not only developed my dancing skills but also have given me a newfound sense of confidence in other areas of my life.

I would highly recommend Alexis as a dance teacher for anyone looking to develop and improve their dancing skills, overcome their fears, and achieve a sense of accomplishment. Her teaching approach is effective, compassionate, and supportive. This along with her encouragement and dedication to helping her students grow make me believe she can transform the lives of her students. I am forever grateful to her for helping me to conquer my fear of dancing and to experience the freedom and joy that...

I highly recommend Alexis as a dance instructor for bachata, salsa, ballroom, and other Latin styles. She is a professional dancer and, importantly, a certified instructor— many dance teachers aren't. After trying various dance studios for years, I can confidently say that she is the best I have encountered. I have been learning bachata from her for over 2 years, and I have seen countless students remain with her long-term because of her outstanding instruction.

Alexis's communication skills are exceptional. She breaks down each move so clearly that her classes feel both approachable and enjoyable. Her structured curriculum provides a clear roadmap for progress, ensuring everyone knows what to practice and why. This focus eliminates confusion and keeps us on track.

What truly sets Alexis apart is her dedication to each student. She pays meticulous attention to technique and fundamentals, ensuring we are well-prepared for success. Beyond the classroom, she organizes social dancing events. She prioritizes one-on-one practice time, which has significantly boosted my confidence. Her humor adds to the experience, making every class a joy. A lively, welcoming atmosphere keeps me looking forward to the next session.

Another highlight is the strong community she has built. Through her events, I have made friends who share my passion for dance, and we often attend social dances together. I am starting my 10th training program with Alexis and intend to continue. If you are looking for an exceptional dance teacher, do not miss the chance to train with Alexis. Her expertise, commitment, warmth, and ability to foster a vibrant dance community are...
