My family and I visited this IHOP at around 11pm because nothing else was open. This place had blaring music on, which wasn't even a big deal - I get that late night workers may want to tune out to music as they work their shift.
When we were being seated at our table, the place wasn't even clean. My shoes felt sticky as we walked through the restaurant because the floor was so dirty. I honestly should turn around and left and just ate some cereal at home because the experience only got worse after this.
The table had some drops of milk and meat crumbs on it and the floor under the table was covered in food scraps. It looked like hashbrowns owned the floor with a fork left on the floor. We had to wipe the table down with our own disinfectant wipes (because we just didn't trust the employees to clean the table well) and we asked the server to sweep the floor and they did.. but why wasn't any of that done in the first place before they tried to seat us?
Then I asked if the plate of food I was ordering came with hashborwns (because if it had I was planning to substitute). The waiter said no,. But when my plate came, it had hashbrowns on it. I had also asked if the cook can use real eggs for my scramble and I was told they only had "normal" eggs (meaning the liquid stuff). The waiter must have been new or something because he wasn't familiar with kitchen ingredients or what accompanied the plates what real eggs were because if I had wanted my eggs sunny side up then what? They just don't have real eggs I guess!
No one enjoyed their meal but ate it because we were so hungry after a long day. Once our meal was over we didn't even want to sit there and wait because we were so uncomfortable so we walked out and paid at the front versus waiting for the Waiter to bring us the bill. Which reminds me, that none of the employees were even wearing masks Which was a little unnerving too.
We are calling corporate to make a formal complaint. If you have to come here. Order to go only. Don't stay there. Of just eat...
Read moreI'm a registered nurse and wanted a nice breakfast this morning before I started work. I arrived at 5:30 this morning as IHOP is open 24 hours. When I walked in, I asked for a table for one. The waitress gave a huge sigh. It was so noticeable that her shoulder blades actually went up and down. It made me feel very uncomfortable. I asked her if it was a problem. She stated no, but mentioned something about the floor just being mopped. There was only one person sitting and eating on the same side that she seated me. Also, the floor was not wet on my side. As she gave my menu in an unfriendly manner, I felt as if I was an invasion. Here I am about to go and provide excellent service, and I'm feeling like a burden. A immediately went on line and found a non chain great breakfast spot one mile away. It's called Teddy's. When I walked in, there were 4 tables seated with people. The waitress is alone and busy, yet I feel so valued as a customer. I'm sitting here eating great breakfast and receiving excellent customer service. To management, I'm a manager. The unfriendly waitress will tell you that I'm making this up, I am not. Please review the video if you tape them. Corporate, please train your staff about visual cues that customers may perceive as negative. To those reading this, don't support this IHOP and come up the street to Teddy's!! You will receive excellent customer service and better food. Bye IHOP, you lost a great customer!! I'm sure the management doesn't care, but someone reading this...
Read moreFirst time visiting this IHOP, invited by a good friend (a frequent guest of this particular IHOP) I was impressed by this historic building, small by comparison with other IHOPS, the smallest IHOP I have every experienced, we were fortunate to be seated right away, timing is everything, the waitress was ready to take our orders, but we just needed time to talk, and to decide on our breakfast choices, we both chose omelettes, coffee and orange juice. We received our hot breakfast plates within a 10 minute window, generous portions, filled with deliciousness, the waitress and manager pass through, asking if we needed anything else. The restaurant is small but once you are sitted, you don't feel the smallest, instead, I was focused on my girlfriend, who I had not seen for several long years, we sat comfortable for an hour, sharing a meal and conversation and catching up on each others histories. We both expressed how great this experience was and that we would do it again, soon. If cost is an issue, our breakfast for two plus a standard tip of 25% was pricey at $40+, you may need to try a less expensive place for breakfast. IHOPS menu is online, yes there is take-out, but they don't do...
