This is a must visit in El Sereno! I went here for lunch with a friend on the weekend. Humberto and Christina, the owners, made us feel like family. They were so sweet and welcoming, taking extra time to wait on us and giving us samples of chicharrones and their homemade piña drink. I had the carnitas quesadilla and my friend had their tacos. The portions were huge and salsa was fantastic. They make it fresh everyday. Christina told me about a special type of grain from Mexico they have to make quesadillas with so I want to try that next time. Their fried tilapia looked incredible too! My boyfriend and I decided to spontaneously make a stop here for food. I’ve tried a lot of tortas from many places, but the torta w/ asada from this place was *chef’s kiss. (Usually, I don't even like asada, but my boyfriend likes asada) Everything is made on the spot, and in big portions- I always have yummy leftovers for later.
