This is another one of those places where you should probably get your reviews from actual food journalists and not from my random ramblings on Google.
But hey, if you're still reading, yeah, this is a fancy taqueria with creative tacos and exotic ingredients. The place plays metal (a surprisingly fun genre to eat tacos to) and has a black paint and skulls and coffins decorating theme.
The chefs who run it are supposedly famous (as chefs) if you're into that sort of thing.
The menu has both meat dishes and plant based dishes. The side of the menu with the meat dishes is labeled the "hell" menu, while the plant based side is labeled as the "heaven" menu. I ate strictly from the hell menu. It was delicious.

Evil Cooks is a one-of-a-kind experience with amazing service and food. I’m one of the lucky ones that lives close by, and we come here at least 1-2x a month. I’ve dined in, ordered take out, and joined in on one or their fine dining Kamikaze (their version of an Omakase) night— I know I’m always in good hands.

But as anyone in L.A. knows, long lines usually indicates that the food is worth waiting for. So we get in line and start discussing our order while we move along. We decided on the 3 taco combo, carnitas, chorizo Verde and black pastor. We also tried the vegan chicharron and for desert, the church taco. I couldn't have been any happier with the food.
