Avoid this theater like the plague! They don't care about keeping their customer base in a dying industry. The place is dirty/sticky, outdated, and it is always humid/hot inside. If you want to see a movie, avoid Regency and go to Pacific Theatres. They are all updated and actually care about keeping business flowing.
I'm a single dad, and I take my little boy here almost weekly to see the new kids movies, and there is always a problem. Last time, the a/c wasn't working, and the time before that, the sound was glitching during the film. Today was the last straw with these failures.
The last 2 times we went here, they waved us right through when I had a drink in my hand. Today, the ticket guy stopped me for having a brand new Starbucks drink in my hand, and told me outside food and drink aren't allowed - even though there is a Starbucks in the same strip mall as the theater, and they don't serve anything like what I had at the theater. I explained that it was never a problem before, and he didn't seem to care. I asked for the manager, and he ended up flagging one down because the manager on duty, Patty, didn't have her radio on her.
When she came over, I explained that it was never a problem in the past (which is why I stopped at Starbucks before the movie), and that I planned on getting my son some concessions before the film. She refused service and said she could hold my coffee until after the movie, but that it was impossible for me to enter the theater with it. I understand if a business sets a strict policy, but this is the first time it was enforced and my straw wasn't even in my coffee yet.
I explained that I don't have the money to just throw coffee away, and there was no time to sit outside and finish it because the movie was about to start. I also explained that we were going to purchase food and drinks for my son at their concessions stand. She didn't care. My son was extremely excited to go into the movie, and she threw us out over a cup of coffee. I used to love coming to this theater, but I'll never come back again (nor will my friend's and family), thanks to Patty. She has absolutely no idea how to manage, and doesn't have the slightest idea of what customer service means. I guess they have too much business, because I explained that I'd never be back because of this and she...
Read moreHorrible service and their assisted listening devices are always broken or very uncomfortable and not taken care of. They don't care if you have a disability they make u wait till a manager comes down takes your ID then gives you a terrible headset. Then when u go buy overpriced food they ask for your ID. Of course you don't have it because they locked it away so now you can't buy food. Then when the movie is over they make you wait until the manager comes to the front gets the keys from the worker to get your ID why not let them get it. No wait 20 minutes for all this to happen just for the manager to blow you off when u complain about the uncomfortable untaken care of headsets. He doesn't care Thanks MIGUEL for such rude service and for continuing to call me dude. I get better service from Mcdonalds managers than this "Manager" no apology no anything about my complaint. Just a rude tone telling me to come back up front after the movie started to wait another 20 minutes for a manager to come and do nothing. Sounds like a great trip to the movies huh? Save your money and go anywhere else. Movie theaters won't be around much longer thanks to this dirty sticky place. I'm buying a firestick and watching movies...
Read moreAlways go to this theatre and it is usually pretty clean and about the average conditions of all the walk ins in the Valley area. I don't like the new seating policy at all however. Who came up with the brain storm of making people pick out the exact seat they want when buying the ticket? IDIOT!!! What happens when you get in there and the seat you picked is worn out and brick hard? You're stuck in it or go through the hassle of trying to change your pre picked seats. The a/c is rarely on this place and the snack bar prices are just plain robbery. I give it 4 stars because this is the Valley. Every business here gives us all ghetto rat treatment. I'm used to it. Read a review above, yeah buddy, you're never allowed in a movie with outside food or drink. NEVER! They rob you at that snack bar and if you don't like it stay in the Starbucks and watch a streaming version. That's movie theatre "walk in theatre" policy and always has been. I think it's time for the rebirth of drive ins here in Valley. Technology has improved and I like the double features and low prices at...
