Would not go again.
My family lives in the neighborhood and I went to try it for the first time. I live in Koreatown so the ramen I usually eat is from Sawtelle.
The ramen I ate here was truly mediocre and overpriced.
With the same money I could buy artisan, hand made ramen with multiple toppings, and free unlimited broth, pickles, and chili oil or garlic on the side.
Here, the table was empty on arrival — first impression is that this place doesn’t rly offer customization. I paid $10 for 5-6 small takoyaki balls and then $17 each for 2 small bowls of ramen that consisted of 70% noodles, 28% SALTY salty broth, and 2% toppings (green onion, a touch of a single veggie, a piece of nori, and a tiny 1/2 egg) + 2 squares of pork. Lol and they didn’t even serve us plates with the takoyaki so my mom started to eat it on a napkin.
The noodles (which was pretty much the whole meal) were well made. But that was it. The ramen as a whole was extremely disappointing. Definitely not worth $60 for 2 people.
Honestly, I wish it was good — I was ready to come back frequently if it...
Read moreThis is by far the most delicious and absolutely the most authentic Japanese restaurant I’ve ever eaten at!!! Absolutely wonderful and incredibly delicious! I’ve eaten at all kinds of high end Japanese restaurants before, just so I can chase down that flavor but was left disappointed every time! Fortunately, this is the first time I was NOT disappointed after trying out a Japanese restaurant in Los Angeles!! Rococo Ramen is truly a gorgeous gem! Deliciously authentic, the flavors belonged to genuine Japanese cuisine, and it took less than 4 minutes for all three dishes to come out. Perfectly portioned, every bite was honestly to die for. I cannot believe I only discovered about this restaurant today. I will absolutely be coming back. What an incredible culinary experience. I’d honestly argue it is THE BEST Japanese restaurant in LA by...
Read moreBest ramen I've had in the US. Noodles were springy and chewy, the broth was perfectly seasoned and fatty without overpowering your tongue, pork melted in your mouth, the eggs were creamy. Highly suggest you to try the combos, I still dream of those little steamed buns sandwiches and my husband loved the gyōzas. Service was exceptional, the young ladies working there were very kind and attentive despite us arriving a little late in the evening.
A slightly negative note: you only get half an egg in your ramen and if you want to add an egg, it's $4 per egg. Prices are frankly high so with 2 combos and no drinks, the bill was $75 before tip. The food was delicious but it's still ramen, a cheap food that sells for at most $15 in Tokyo with add-ons, shouldn't be that high in a LA...
