I have never received worst service in my life.
I came in on a Monday afternoon (1pm) and hopped in the long line. By the time I made it to the front of the line, I realized that 1/2 of the printers were not working and that's what was slowing things down a bit. Totally fine- I had plenty of time to spare before heading back to work.
Here is what was not totally fine-
The woman working in the print area raising her voice at a customer and telling him that she doesn't even work there full time, this isn't her main store, these aren't her problems, and that he shouldn't be "fussing" at him. This was her response when he politely asked how could customer service at this store be improved because often times there isn't much help in the print area.
I patiently waited over 20 minutes to receive the Staples code, and I was the first person in line so it was my turn to use the printer but still didn't receive anything so I started to ask this same woman for assistance.
I waited until we made eye contact and I said "Hi, is it possible for-" before she threw up her hand and told me "You're gonna need to wait to talk to me because i just got finished with this man fussing at me, I don't need everyone fussing at me". These initiated a very heated and hostile back and forth conversation between the two of us.
As a result, she told me that because I asked her not to speak to me that way (I let her know that she could've said "i'll be right with you") that she would have me waiting here even longer and she won't be answering my question. With a smile on her face. DIABOLICAL.
I truly don't understand why she's in a customer facing role and cussing and fighting with customers when the issue is with Staples being understaffed/ broken machines.
The manager, or the man that she informed us all that was the store manager, Luis, witnessed her yelling at customers. There were 6 altercations between her and customers within the 45 minutes that I stood in line waiting for my email from staples print me. 7 including my conversation with her.
This woman also walked away from the print station, leaving it unattended and announced that she needed to go take her medication. If her taking her medication has anything to do with her behavior and temperament, she needs to be removed from customer facing role immediately. Additionally, this should not be announced to everyone. It's unprofessional.
After 35 minutes, I receive the code, print out my single page doc and guess what? it's blurry. So Luis tells me to try again to send it a different way. After I have already spent my entire time in store sending this image as a forwarded message, a small attachment, a medium attachment and as a file.
6.Finally I decide to take the L, as I am cutting it close to getting back to work. At this point I will have to reschedule my upcoming work call. No big deal. So I ask Luis to refund me and to which he says, he cannot since someone started a job on the machine after me. So not only did I spend an hour here, got nothing printed, but also lost money out of my own pocket.
Before leaving I did let Luis know that that woman was completely out of line in the way she spoke with customers. I might have been the 3rd of 4th person to tell him this that I witnessed in my lengthy visit.
Oh and as I was leaving, I looked to my left and saw her face to face with another man yelling in his face. Crazy that this is allowed.
I won't be uploading this incident with video and photos at this time. I will be waiting for a response from Staples regarding the service I received today, and a refund for the services that I did not receive before escalating this incident with evidence.
Overall 0/10. Go to UPS, ask your neighbor, print at work- go quite literally...
Read morethere is no option to give no star or zero star because I had recent visit to the store today I interact with Eric, who was standing in the copy and print section. I ask him if he can help me to print two pages black and white so he put me in a circle, extremely rude, arrogant disrespectful, humiliating me, telling me to go to one of the machine And I told him it’s only two pages and is asking me they are holding my five dollars for days But he continues to refuse to help me keep The machine even I was giving the job print code. I received it through my email. Eric was violent aggressive behavior not Wanted to do his job rather than putting on the customers and then I had to use the machine which print me colored pages and I get charged almost $1:80 because there is no option for black and white also they’re putting female customers safety at jeopardy because I noticed it was a couple people. They’re just hanging around and try to pretend like they’re using machine but all they were just sneaking into other peoples information you can look up on the video surveillance camera because these people they did not, print anything, but they were just hanging around. The machines literally threatening me. I feel harassed because I was going back-and-forth but customer service. The people who is getting paid. They do not want to help the customer because you are not one of them do not mind helping his own people. He was so happy and greeting other people, but Eric literally kicked me out of the store He is that aggressive he start at rolling his eyes, Eric is pretending like he on the store and that he is on private property so he can do whatever he wants the way he can treat the female customer. Female Customer feel so threatened by him. This is not the first time I had that kind of bad behavior by this store employee I need my credit back because I did not get the pages I wanted to be printed here Eric should be disciplined for not keeping customer privacy and raising his voice so the whole store can hear that On the other hand Christian he helped me with the Amazon package he was professional helpful and respectful to me and helped me with courtesy This staple store need more Employees...
Read moreThis is a special 5 Star Review for Eric, who heads up their Print and Marketing off to the right when you enter. Eric is a proactive, critically thinking, intelligent individual who really does a great job getting prints made correctly the first time. I do a lot of blueprinting through this particular Staples and no matter what the task has been, the prints have always come back accurate, to scale (which is critical in blueprints!) and prompt. At one point in time, their printer on a Friday died. I had prints due Monday. Eric called me but because it was Friday night I wasn't answering my phone. I showed up Monday morning to pick up my prints, unaware that their printers were still not fixed. Luckily, Eric was proactive and wanted to manage the situation and had sent my print order out to a different Staples and then brought it back to HIS Staples just so I could get my prints on time without me even knowing about it. He went out of his way to make sure I was happy and that the experience was seamless and painless.
Since that point I knew this was the reprographics house for me. Eric has done crazy things like scanning oversized hand drawn originals (on VERY delicate trace paper), scaling them up dimensionally by 200% then printing them back out accurate to within a 1/16th of an inch (again, accuracy is SUPER important in blueprinting).
I could go to a full service reprographics house, but Eric is literally a full service reprographics house in his own right. He's cordial, thinks ahead, is pleasant to talk to, has a good sense of humor and does his best to clearly communicate what he needs from me in order to do the job I'm asking of him.
This is a rare combination of traits so I'm giving this Staples, and Eric specifically, a 5 Star review, and they have earned each one and will have my business as long as Eric is there behind the...
