Shocking! Target seems to be resting on their laurels. The once great retailer has become something else entirely from what their reputation was built up on. Target is no longer the place to go when you want to get a better price than any other retailer in the vicinity. Nowadays TARGET CHARGES MORE THAN EVERYONE ELSE DOES FOR THE SAME PRODUCT. I am really disturbed by the fact that this evening when I checked out at Target my Starbucks coffee was $1.29 more than the price it was listed for on the shelf. I was duped. I purchased four items tonight at Target. A speaker, some briefs, a Starbucks frappuccino and some Calafia lemonade. On the shelf the lemonade was priced at $4.89 (which is about a dollar more than it's priced at Gelson's, Ralphs, Pavilions, or any other market in town. When I checked out, I was charged $5.89 plus tax and bottle deposit. A dollar more the price on the shelf. Same thing with my frappuccino. I don't usually look at the receipts of things I buy, just take it for granted that it's going to be correct and in line with the price it's marked. At Target, not only is the item more expensive than it is anywhere else in town, but they dupe you when you check out by charging even more without letting you know that they're ripping you off. I say stand careful and be advised they're...
Read moreI’m giving this Target three stars. Although it’s a smaller store, it’s generally well stocked, which is a plus. But honestly, shopping here has become more of a hassle than it should be. Almost the entire store is locked up—everything from basic toiletries to electronics is behind glass. You have to wait for an employee to come unlock the cases, and the staff is usually pretty slow to respond when you press the call button, causing a major inconvenience, especially if you’re trying to shop quickly.
I even spoke to a supervisor about it, and they simply explained that everything is locked up so no one can steal. I understand the need for security, but they also limit you to only three items from a single section. I was trying to buy four deodorants to take advantage of a discount, but even after they unlocked the cabinet, the staff wouldn’t let me purchase the fourth one.
I get why they have these rules, but it’s extremely frustrating and leaves a bad impression of the store and the company overall. It’s not the worst Target out there, but the locked-up merchandise and all the restrictions definitely make the shopping experience far less enjoyable than...
Read moreLocated Santa Monica Blvd & N. La Brea Ave. Two floor parking structure with plenty of space available which I believe is free for the first hour and needs no validation. The entrance is on Romaine St. There is also a UPS Store, AT&T Store, Supercuts, Best Buy, GameStop, Starbucks, T-Mobile Store, Rite Aid, Chase Bank, Kaiser Permanente, DMV, beauty salons and multiple restaurants in the plaza or within walking distance. Due to the pandemic, it's usually not busy or crowded and has less foot traffic than normal but be aware that certain products are low on inventory or out of stock. Plenty of cashier lanes as well as self checkout. Establishment adheres to all standards and procedures for Covid-19. Restrooms are available. Good prices as you would expect from the well known company. I couldn't give a perfect rating since many items were out of stock....
