If you've ever been to Japan and like Izakaya food with the chill vibes then Wakaba is the place to go. Having moved from Japan few months ago my Japanese wife said the food was very authentic and was what she was missing from back home. It makes sense after she spoke with the head chef, Yoshi san, who is from Japan and is known and praised throughout the Japanese restaurant communities in LA! Also a plus side is the prices are great for LA and the quality of the food you get!

When you try the food you can tell each plate is made with care since they're made from scratch and come out hot and fresh! Definitely recommend the seafood teppanyaki, the agedashi tofu and...

Had a truly excellent meal there this week. Each dish was superb! Salad was very fresh, and miso soup was perfect. Then had an outstanding sashimi platter. Really top notch quality, generous portions and very nicely put together. My difficult to please sons both ordered steak and were very happy with the quality and the seasoning. Very warm attentive service, very nice interior design and just excellent dining experience all around....

New spot opened up! The tempura/fried dishes are soooo good. Sushi, hand/rolls are sooo fresh. There’s garish and toppings that enhance the sushi! Love it. Would recommend! Can’t wait for their alcohol license it come through. This place will be a regular.
