Great Clips — Local services in Los Lunas

my fiancee finally got time off work and wanted to get his hair cut but sense it was Sunday pretty much every other place was closed.. so after looking at a bunch of places and no luck...we decided to go to the los lunas great clips....

I gave it a 1 star because - it should not be hard to cut guys hair... basically my fiancee just wanted it shaved short. ( that's it) well the lady - not sure of her name - she is a short Filipino woman... nice... but.... she cut his hair and left long strands in the front - and i mean long "uneven": strands .... ( not sure what she was trying to do...and his hair is now not blended well in the back either ) i mean i guess you cant ask for too much at great clips sense its on the cheap side " and you get what you pay for.. but at least know how to give a man a buzz cut for petes sake... well looks like ill have to fix what she had messed up.... anyways i was sad to see my fiancee bummed at how his hair looked... "he is a very nice guy and wont say anything even if he knows someone messed up..." but he was confused how she could mess up such a simple hair cut... he specifically asked for her to shave his hair off with a number 2 all over......

anyways.... you work hard for your money...so i would suggest spending $5-$10 more and going to a professional... why pay for something that is going to get messed up.. and you will have to fix anyways.... lesson learned for us oh and I defiantly don't suggest a woman going there if they cant do a simple man's haircut... these stylist need to go freshen up on there cosmetology school... cause their skills are lacking.... (not only was it that stylist.. but seeing a few other clients walk out... made me wonder did any of them go to school or are they just hiring people off the streets..... jeesh.. but anyways... that is...

*UPDATED REVIEW * LONG POST We visited the location recently, and we took my mentally disabled nephew for a long overdue haircut. His stylist was wonderful. I really wish I had gotten her name. She is a young girl with an accent. Why the lower stars? It was the stylist who cut my husband's hair. She did an ok job, I had to point out where it was uneven. She rolled her eyes. She was approximately in her 40's. The whole encounter became worse when she went to the register. The younger stylist was standing behind her and was observing the transaction. The older stylist became very defensive and was loudly telling the other stylist to get away. The younger stylist remained calm and quietly told her that my nephews haircut was under her (name or ID or number, not sure how they track it). The older stylist raised her voice even more scolding the younger stylist. The lobby was full of people. I asked my husband to take our nephew to the car because he was starting to get uncomfortable. I gave 2 stars because the younger stylist was very professional during the whole situation. I spoke up and told the older stylist that they should not be having this conversation in front of customers. The older one finally stopped talking and took my payment, and I said half the change I left for a tip was for the younger stylist. I had hoped the issue was over. As we were getting in our car, the younger stylist came out obviously shaken and very upset. I really regret not calling and speaking to a manager.

This location does a great job on my hair, they never try to do what they think will look good. They offer suggestions and most seem to enjoy...

Signed in at 4pm was given a 91 min wait. When I arrived at 530 the wait had gone up to 122 min. Went next door to get food. When we went to check in she said it would be another 45 minutes. About 10 minutes later she calls and says she's been waiting and it's now 6 and my daughter will have to come back tomorrow for her hair cut. When I told her we just went and asked how much longer she gave me attitude and was very rude. I was supposed to receive a text when it was our time and never received one. She is the manager. So I went to go talk to her in person and she was in there on her phone. This was even after I promised her a cash tip...

To add... When we were done with our food and walking back to our car the employee who said she's manager walked outside and verbally assaulted us screaming and yelling at us in front of my children. I have an autistic son and her behavior caused him to become overwhelmed and...
