ALDI — Local services in Louisville

Great new location, same old Aldi. Their apparent business practices only thwart our community, through the consumer and the employees. They run shifts with minimal staff, putting strain on everyone AND their bottom dollar. The single register that is often open is beyond infuriating when their ads tout a small store for convenience. You see the staff desperately multitasking while you wait. And wait. I love Aldi, but am growing tired of this. Take care of your employees so they can take care of us! Pay the good wage AND staff your stores to show us you want our business. WalMart is right there, and I never wait as long, despite their reputation. And due to the limited items, I find myself consistently having to go to another store (WlaMart across the street that already has everything I need, and less wait despite a big store) to get what I need for my family. First time ever visiting - somehow the customer before mine's bill was added to mine (her card was declined) and was not noticed until after I paid and it went onto my credit card. To resolve the problem, the manager Scott said the only way to correct it was to manually remove everything from both carts (luckily the lady was still there) and manually credit each item. Took about 20 minutes of my time. I was never offered an apology or any restitution for this mistake. Mistakes happen, but what was missing was an "I'm sorry, it was our mistake" from the manager. This store took my money for a online order then at the last second they text me to tell me they have no coolers and the order can't be processed. Then I am told I have to talk to someone in India about getting my money back. As a single father who works every day I don't have the time to go shopping for groceries that is why I choose pick up option. But now I don't have any food or my money to be able to go buy food.
