Cherokee coins & Jewelry has always been great to do business with, they have always been happy to assist me with any of my coin collecting needs. Every time I get the chance to visit with them, I stop in. I am never pressured into buying anything and I always receive great pricing from them and I'm sure they'll make you feel comfortable too, super great people and an abundance of inventory. If you are buying for a collector, looking to stack silver or gold, adding to your personal coin collection or starting a child into the hobby, Cherokee is a great place to stop in to find that coin, roll, album or mint and proof sets you're looking for! They have gone out of their way to help me find some coins I've needed, the 1909-s VDB wheat cent is a great example, Steve picked it up for me from an annual FUN Coin Show in Orlando Florida years ago! They are as good as a best friend in the business. Check with these guys before buying coins elsewhere, they don't mind giving you an idea on a coin and/or values in case you are interested in buying or selling. If you have a large amount of coins you want to sell, give them a call and set up an appointment, it would probably work out the best. Buying from a professional can save you in the long run too, because China is pumping out so many fake coins into the market nowadays, you can rest assured there's not any being sold out of Cherokee, they know their business and carry the real McCoy's! I am glad there's such a reputable coin dealer locally! From a broken down hippie biker coin collector and friend, it's always a pleasure to find upgrades to my collection! Buy, sell and trade! Happy collecting y'all Today 5/22/24, I stopped by after a doctor's appointment and saw they were closed, so I wanted to share their hours of operations and noted days of being closed this month!...
Read moreMy grandfather and I found an old box of silver quarters he forgot he had. We took them to see what they were worth and they provided spot price PULS some on top of that. Very friendly and helpful. Now I have 2 gold coins that I'm bringing there to sell this week. They earned my business and recommendation.
8/10/23 Update: Went back due to the positive prior experiences to sell some of my coins and this experience was far less positive. The shop was busy, the guy before me was trying to scam the shop owner so I think that kind of soured things for me and all my coins received was a cursory glance and an offer far below what just the spot price of the metal would be, and only $100 more than what the entire collection was appraised for in 1998. This goes to show timing might be essential for a thorough examination of your coins or perhaps things have just changed for the worse. My advice is know what your coins are legitimately worth, not what eBay says and be prepared to walk out the door if they lowball you like I was. From...
Read moreVery nice store and highly credible. I took some silver coins and a silver certificate dollar in to find out the value and/or sell. I ended up selling the coins. He gave me the best price he could on them. The silver certificate was indeed worth more than a dollar, but not much. He said he would buy it, but suggested I just keep it and gave me a plastic pouch to keep it in so it would not get damaged any further.
It was obvious I knew nothing about the coins and silver certificate I had. He easily could have offered me anything and I wouldn't have known any different. I admire his honesty and integrity in business. This is what makes a business star-worthy. I highly recommend Cherokee Coins & Jewelry. Besides the coin selling experience, I browsed the store and found many beautiful coins and gold and silver jewelry pieces that were reasonably priced. I recommend stopping by to do a little gold or silver mining for yourself or a loved one. I am sure you will be very pleased with...
