Today I went to Jig's to purchase my vegetable plants, like I do every year. The cashier put my small packs in a tray and I left my big tomato plants in the cart. After paying $40, I walked away with my cart of tomato plants and forgot my tray of small plants on counter. After getting halfway to my car I realized it and went back to get them. A customer immediately tells me those are not my plants as I began to pick them up. I said yes sir, I forgot them on the counter. He continues to argue with me and says No! My wife laid those there! The lady behind the counter agrees with him and says no, his wife laid these here. I said ma'am right here is my receipt. She never bothered to look at it. She never bothered to ask the lady that rang me up. Continuously arguing with me in front of a packed greenhouse. Finally, this man's wife walks up and he says are these your plants? She says No! I said thanks for calling me a liar and walked away. I did NOT appreciate how I was treated and called to speak with the manager or owner when I left. Well guess who the manager is? The same lady that told me those were not my plants. The one that never bothered to look at my receipt or ask the cashier that waited on me. Her name is Donna and she was just as rude on the phone as she was in person. I told her I did NOT appreciate how I was treated and that my family and I have been going there for years to get our vegetables. She yells in the phone, "the only one that made a scene here was you!" And hangs up the phone on me. Just wanted to let everyone know how they treat their paying customers and heaven forbid if you do go here, MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT FORGET ANYTHING ON THE COUNTER! My family and I will...
Read moreI have stopped in Jiggs Market a few times. I love the presentation and the choices they have. They offer a great variety of plants and seasonal items. Some of their items are a great value and some seem way overpriced, so it depends on what you’re looking for if you’ll get a bargain or not. They have the prettiest mums I’ve ever seen and their stacking pumpkins are a good deal, the corn stalks and Indian corn are priced a little high. Any time I’ve stopped in staff seems oblivious that you are there, no one welcomes you or asks if you need help, and it is hard to tell who is actually working or just browsing. Over all, I love the atmosphere and...
Read moreCame here for the first time last week and was very disappointed. Parking is not clearly marked and is very confusing, there was only one employee working and they didn't greet me or really act friendly at all, in fact I didn't even realize they were an employee until they walked behind the checkout counter. A number of the plants (flowers, decorative plants) were completely dead, dry and brown and wilted. The produce was mostly spoiled, the majority of it was shriveled with brown spots and some of it had already started to rot, plus it was absolutely swarming with flies. Just really gross. Definitely won't be...
