Visited Public Storage on Friday in hopes of renting a 10X20 climate controlled unit. I had checked the website and it didn't show that any were available. The Manager, Lee, stated that she had 1 available but that it was $180. I did not want to spend that much and other units were showing on special but this one wasn't. She stated that corporate made the decisions on which ones were on special and that they changed daily. She suggested that I check on line again as these are on line specials only. I'm glad I did because the following day they showed the unit at $144 and only $1 for the first month. I rented the unit on Monday but wasn't moving in until Today (Wednesday). I rented the unit with another lady, Susan, as Lee was off that day. Susan was very nice and helpful as well and even carried boxes to my car for me. I came back on Tuesday for more wrapping paper and Lee was back and not only remembered me but called me by name. She also helped me to my car with boxes and such. Very good customer service. I addition, I had forgotten to bring my lock the day I rented the unit, Susan stated to just call when I was on my way and they would remove their vendor lock and have it ready. Well I forgot to call but Lee had remembered and had already taken it off for me. Very thoughtful and again such great customer service. These ladies are very professional and have provided great customer service. The place is clean and everything seems to be in order. So far so good. Movers are moving me in as we speak. A storage unit is a storage unit but how you are treated is what makes the difference. Well that and a good competitive price. Lol. Just wanted to give these ladies a shout out because they have been nothing but a pleasure to work with. Thank you Lee and Susan and thank you Public Storage for employing team members that make moving just a little...
Read moreI am truly unsure how this property has so many good reviews. We have been using this location for 5 years now and we have had one bad experience after another. Not only are the prices OUTRAGEOUS but you're paying for the bare minimum.
We are a non profit organization - although we don't expect any kind of special treatment its still interesting how differently weve been treated by different property managers. Because of our needs and how we operate we used to have 24 hour access to the property (we were given this from the beginning). They then stopped that and at one point in time and tried to "lock" one of our fosters in the gate for being past 9pm. We've dealt with flooding in our unit/moisture and rodents quite heavily from the beginning. At one time, there was a gaping hole on the side of our unit where mice where getting in ....the solution was tape. After addressing this - they finally fixed the siding. A discussion was had to have an exterminator come out so we gave them a key to our unit - till this day it still hasn't happened. Last month, we received ANOTHER rate increase notification for almost $500/month! Not only is that GOUGING but as a non profit its just not feasible for receiving the bare minimum.
We are in the process of moving off of the property and planning to get our unit cleaned out asap. Because we are unable to use their dumpster (it stays locked) which is WILD TO ME. You pay $500 a month but cant use the trash bin? What's it even there for?....We were going to rent a dumpster and have it hauled the same day but was immediately told this wasn't something they allowed. Once again we hit another road block and have to find someone to specifically haul junk
Its just been one bad experience...
Read moreThe facilty was clean and well maintained. However upon vacating we were charged for an additional month. We were told that the manager had reviewed the charges and would be removing them. This never happened, instead they sent it to a creditor The month it would have been due... not even 30 days later. I repeatedly talked to office managers who said they would take care of it, which never happened. So I was given Philip's (the manager) number and told to call him directly. However Philip continues to have a full voicemail and since he never answers his phone They gave me his boss' number. However David has yet to return my phone call. In the meantime the creditor keeps harassing us and my credit has been affected. To say I am upset at the situation is an understatement. I am obviously going to have to go ahead and pay the extra month so that it stops hurting my credit and I know that no one at this company will ever respond to me. So heed my warning to not trust anything that they have to say and if there is a problem... you are on your own. I really hate that this has come to this, everyone SEEMED...
