El Nopal Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Louisville

This review is for our last visit only. We have eaten at El Nopal many times and generally have a good experience, but not last night 3/3/2018. We went to a movie and decided on El Nopal in Tyler Center afterwards. It was 9:30 when we arrived and checked to make sure that they were open which the sign stated until 10:30. When we went in all of the chairs had been set up already so we sat in a booth. The workers were all busy cleaning the restaurant for closure, but we did get a waitress to wait on us. We ordered the Pollo Pablano, which is normally very good, and the chicken quesadilla verdi. The food was delivered within 10 minutes and was obviously not fresh. The chicken was very dry and tough. I could tell that it had been setting around for quite some time and the quesadilla was nothing more than a tortilla with some shredded chicken inside. There was no sauce. They had already removed all of the condiments and napkins from the tables so I had to retrieve some myself. Very disappointed with this visit. If you state that you will be open till 10:30 then you should be willing to treat your customers...

We have eaten at El Nopal quite, typically Middletown, but tonight was our first time at this location. Over $80 for my wife, my two young kids (1 had an ala cart chicken burrito w/ rice and the other one hard taco) and myself. They charged $6 dollars to put queso on two burritos instead of red sauce, charged for two adult drinks instead of kids. For the quality of food, $80+ is rediculous. We will find somewhere else going forward.
