Tonight 20 residents from Swan Pointe Condo Assoc went to Craft House Pizza In Jtown. They were all ready for us when we arrived. Happy Hour was over at 6:00. We had a nice time chatting with our neighbors while we ordered our drinks and looked at the menu. There was a great variety of items. Pizza, Stromboli’s, Lasagna, Baked Spaghetti, salads and much more. The pizzas were offered in various sizes. They also had cauliflower crust pizzas and gluten free. Lorissa M was our server. She took care of all 20 of us. She took our orders, brought out the salads that had been ordered. Very soon the Pizzas and other items were getting ready to be passed out. It was really fun looking to see what everyone had ordered. It sorta gave us all thoughts about what we’d order the next time we were there. I had ordered the 10” Cauliflower crust pizza with Canadian Bacon and Pineapple. It was terrific! The crust tasted just like a regular pizza crust. Phil, my husband ordered an Individual, thin crust Brew Master pizza. It had all of their meats on it, Pepperoni, Sausage, Bacon, Canadian Bacon, and Beef. It wasn’t dry and not as spicy as some at other pizzarias that he had tried lately. My friend next to me had the hot brown pizza and I really think it looked wonderful. There was another neighbor that shared her delicious cheese bread with us. Everyone was very happy with their food selection. We really kept our server, Lorissa M really busy, but she loved us anyway! She kept our tea and cola glasses filled and new glasses of wine and beer were always coming. The restaurant was mostly filled with families and all of our group seemed to be having a great time. The building was large enough to accommodate many people. We had a great time and I’m sure many will be back again. This was our first visit and it won’t be our last! Thank you Lorissa and Craft House Pizza. Be sure and join their loyalty program and earn 1 point for every $1 spent and unlock $10 off every 200 points. There is also a $10 online coupon for your birthday. I used mine tonight! 2 1/2...
Read moreHometown pizza is the closest thing I've found to my favorite pizza back in my home town of Holly, MI. We tried them all...Jet's, Papa John's, Pizza Hut, Boom Bozz (Dominoes and Caesar are never a consideration)...and probably a dozen more, and none of them came close until we happened into Hometown one evening. Since trying them it's been our primary pizza location.
Ordering from this location is a breeze. From where we live (about 3 miles away) we can call the order in, get in the car and drive, and arrive right after it comes out of the oven. Then it's back home and the pie is still warm and awesome.
This Hometown has a decent sized dining area. We've eaten in a few times and everything is pretty comfy. There are a few screens around to watch sporting events and a full bar for your imbibement. On one of our visits our server was less than pleasant, but for the most part it's been awesome. The staff keeps busy, and they do a great job of keeping tables bussed and the floors clean.
The menu is large, but having only tried their pizza I can't speak to any of the other offerings. They have a loyalty club that scores you a pizza every once in a while.
I'm always impressed with the carryout business this place does. It seems there's almost always a line at least three deep with people coming to pick up orders, so they must be doing...
Read moreThe food is always excellent. But....it's not very clean. The tables are always sticky, as are the menus and salt and pepper shakers etc. The bathroom is pretty bad too. Our server told us we could pay at the counter but when we got up there, the girl at the register said "I can't ring you out. I'm not your server and then she literally stepped away from the register and just looked at us. Maybe our server didn't realize this when she told us we could pay at the counter, nevertheless, we were just trying to pay and I guess the counter girl expected us to go back to our table and sit back down and flag down our server etc. Luckily, another employee asked us who our server was when we started to go back to our table and when we pointed her out he very kindly said he would ring us out and take the receipt to our server. I wish I had gotten the rude girls name but I try not to be overly critical as I worked at a restaurant when I was younger and I appreciate how hard it can be dealing with the public. But come on, really? All it takes is one bad experience and you may lose that...
