Worst Kroger all-around. As far as the pharmacy: I moved in February and moved my prescriptions. Never had one single issue at the previous Kroger on Westport Road. It was fabulous. This one kept telling me it didn't have my phone number. I updated it monthly. Gave it 7 months. Then came to pick up a prescription after it had been called in an hour and a half prior and was told rather rudely after waiting in the long line “not my fault it’s not ready”. That was it for me - I left and haven’t been back. Switched my prescriptions to CVS and haven’t been sorry.
As far as Clicklist which is a service I thoroughly enjoyed at the Westport Road Kroger and found to be worth every penny as i never waited in more than 2 minutes for any order: a total waste of money and time at this location. The first time I attempted to use the service, I was called 10 minutes before I left to pickup my order only to be told it wasn’t ready and I would need to wait until the next day. I cancelled it. The second time I arrived at 420 (the order was to be picked up between 4-5) called and it just rang then disconnected. I called back and it was picked up by someone in another department. I had to be connected to the Clicklist department who answered and sounded confused that someone would be calling them. I sat until 450 and called again before someone finally came out with my order and skipped over the person beside me who had been waiting for 40 minutes and was there before me! My eggs were broken and he had to go back inside for more. I did feel badly for the young man working. He said he was working alone. Kroger should have enough people working the service if they offer it so that they can live up to the expectations they have set with their customers and for which they are paying. I will drive further to a different location if I even try again. At the very least I feel my money should be refunded for this.
Oh and update: I didn’t get a receipt with my order. The fun...
Read moreI just wanted to share an experience I had at the Tyler center Kroger. I was there today 7/12/23 and when leaving around 4pm I hear hollering when walking out the store into the area where carts are stored. Once I get to the lobby, I start to notice that it was two employees one of them in one of those red vests, and the other was pushing carts. The one pushing carts was a very short haired older lady, who I saw myself on the way in, working VERY HARD getting carts in. The manager/lady (long brown and gray hair pulled back into a ponytail with jeans on) in the red vest was screaming at her in the lobby of Kroger, telling her how bad of a job she’s doing and how she left another employee behind because she wasn’t fast enough. She had her finger up pointing at her and everything! The way she was speaking to her was very degrading and down right mean. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. If I didn’t have my baby with me I would have handled it myself in that moment, I just honestly couldn’t believe what I was hearing and it was very upsetting not only as a customer, but as a decent human...
Read moreNow that I’m officially out of this business, I would like to say how rough it was working in the PickUp department. This was the only thing I did in my 6 1/2 years with the company, and I will tell you I was overworked to the bone. Those of you complaining about them running behind? Blame corporate. They wanted us to do 10x more with less people. Hours were cut and we were constantly drowning and begging for help from other departments and management. Then you have everyone in the store hating you because you pull from other departments. Instead of allowing us to properly schedule, they claimed we “didn’t have the hours” and in return, other departments suffered (as well as the employees who WANTED to work, but weren’t allowed). I’m 23 and have long-lasting back pain; towards the end of my employment, I would come home literally hobbling and crying in pain. Don’t get me wrong, there were parts of the job that I did love and enjoy, but it all falls back onto unrealistic expectations set by people who have never spent a day in our environment and the ENTITLEMENT...
