The Derby Café has a nice, spacious atmosphere with a view to the outside, but the incredibly poor customer service and mediocre food is a turn off.
On the day we visited, the kitchen ran out of food because of an unanticipated large number of customers. The meal we ended up with was disgusting. The management handled the situation very poorly.
The beef brisket I attempted to order was already gone. After a long wait, I was told they ran out of turkey for the turkey club. The temperature was hot on top, but cool in the center. The turkey at the bottom had a slight pink color. Overall a very disgusting, pre-made taste. Our waitress was good, but the apology from the manager (or owner?) was weak and insincere. Even with the discount, it wasn't worth the wait or...

Now the KY Derby museum was great but I highly recommend not eating at...

One of the best bartenders we've yet to know; wished we lived closer to enjoy his company more often. Thank...
