I love Spirit Halloween so much — it’s something I look forward to every single year, and I don’t want any negative experience to take away from that.
Today I went after work, very excited to find a costume, and within minutes I found one I really liked. I know my size, and I’m aware that retail clothing often runs small. As someone who’s been through this before, I picked a size I felt confident in. I noticed the signs about no returns, and I was still sure about my purchase — no hesitation at all.
When I got to the register, I asked the cashier for the price since the tag was missing. He and another associate exchanged a look, and he rolled his eyes. I didn’t think much of it and told him I was okay with the price and ready to pay. Then, the other associate asked, “Is this for you or someone else?” I said it was for me, and she replied, “Well, there are no returns, so are you sure it’s going to fit you?”
I understand she may have meant well, but that comment felt unnecessary and a bit insensitive. A better way to phrase it might have been, “Just a reminder, we don’t accept returns, so please make sure you’re confident in your selection.” That would’ve felt much more respectful and professional.
I’m sharing this only because I really enjoy shopping here and want every customer — regardless of their size — to feel comfortable...
Read moreWent to return a costume that fell apart right when we took it out of the bag. The fake teeth we bought the glue had opened in the container and all over everything both costume and teeth so both unusable. We bought it 3 days before we took it back. Upon requesting a refund we were told by the manager that it said on our reciept that they only accept refunds up to a certain date which was only 3 days from our purchase date. After my comment of how would I have known that I don't look at receipts she pointed to a 6 inch by 6 inch sign amongst a bunch of other cluttered everything sign that stated their refund policy. I asked this is how they will treat a 5 year returning customer and she said its our policy. I stated that if that is the policy with very little information in places that won't be seen it is very business and not customer service oriented and were they sure they wanted to lose a 5 year return customer over $58? No response. Last time we will ever step foot in or spend one penny with this very $ oriented business. Good luck with all the 1 star reviews...
Read moreWORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD IN A STORE. The manger implied that I went into the store multiple times and have “made multiple exchanges” and told her employee not to exchange my item after telling me to buy screws from Walmart to fix my problem. I did not spend 50+$ to go to Walmart to spend more on something they should have easily exchanged. I made no pervious exchanges and have only entered the store and purchased items. Luckily the Fort Collins spirit returned ALL of my items and I will be returning there. AFUL MANAGEMENT WHO TALKED POORLY OF THE CUSTOMER AHEAD SOON AFTER SHE LEFT EVEN BEFORE GETTING TO THE COUNTER...
