I walked to this shop from my nearby home with my two dogs. I went to the back to tether them up in the shade before walking inside. As I did, a man came out the back door and said "excuse me, sir, can you go somewhere else? This is private property." I started to explain, but the guy just turned around, walked back in and locked the door.
I guess he thought I was experiencing homelessness? Anyway, I shouldn't have to explain myself, and I didn't. I live two blocks away in a house I own. I wore normal summer clothes and an antique watch that must not have caught his eye or wasn't worth his time.
I came to get a new watch band and have my watch serviced. I was told to go somewhere else, so that's exactly what I'll do. I suggest you do the same.

Read moreI’m so grateful to Mark at Rydquist Fine Jewelry! My daughter’s favorite, wears everyday, necklace had broken and she was devastated. I had taken it to a larger franchise jewelry store to ask them to try to repair it, but I was immediately turned down by the big store because I hadn’t purchased the necklace from their store. Being a dad himself and understanding great customer service, he knows the importance of a piece of jewelry regardless of where it was purchased, and repaired it without question! Not only did he fix it, but put it back together right on the spot within minutes! I’m so thankful for Mark being not only great at his trade but being such a kind human. My daughter is so thrilled she is able to wear her favorite necklace...
Read moreI should've paid attention to the bad reviews. Mark is good at replacing batteries. Period. I brought stones to him in November 2021. We discussed what to do with them. He ordered the parts, and in mid-December I went back to approve them. He asked if I needed them before Christmas. I said no, so he said they would be ready middle of January 2022. I called a few times to check on the progress. Hadn't started yet. A month ago, I stopped in, and he said "you're next". Today, March 30th, I went back, and he hadn't finished them yet! I took my stones back. I told him 5 months was too long to wait. He stopped me in mid sentence and said, "let's not discuss this". Don't waste your time. ...
