I am so thankful for the Colorado Kitty Coalition! My lifelong cat of 14 years had passed about a month and a half ago - and I have been absolutely devastated since. I wanted to give myself some time to grieve but recently had the inkling that the time may be coming soon to start looking - I could feel in my gut a kindred cat spirit would be making an appearance. I originally was looking at a cat at the Loveland Cat Cafe, but she was not comfortable in a homes with dogs and I didn't want to force her into that kind of situation. On a hunch I checked out the Kitty Coalition website since they are partners, and my heart DROPPED the second I saw Ellie's face... she was the one. Megan was so responsive to my (probably a bit persistent) emails about Ellie, and got me approved as soon as I got the paperwork over that they needed. Her foster mom also responded just as quickly the same day to meet her! I get to bring her home on Thursday, and I am already so so grateful. Her spaying/microchip costs were included in her adoption fees, and I love how much they seem to love every single cat that comes into their care. Thank you guys so much for helping my heart heal and helping me find the perfect...
Read morePlease be aware of this organization. We paid $400 for 2 kittens to be held for us and were told they were FIV and FeLV tested. And were negative. We found out after paying for, then getting to know and pick out 2 kittens, they in fact were not ever tested. Two days before picking them up, were told by the foster they had worms and one had a bad eye infection and her eye “was cloudy”. And that they couldn’t come home to us. We were not contacted and told this until I contacted them for a pick up time. They never told us how they contracted either of these things from the foster or the owner of the organization. The owner named Arika would not test for FIP (per my Vet the likely cause of the eye infection) because “they didn’t want to spend the money” on testing the kitten to assure us that she wouldn’t die in a few months. This was all after they charged our credit card the $400. Please be aware. They will lie and deceive you. In the end the owner suggested we pull out of the adoption and we got our money back. It was devastating for our 10 year daughter old who was already attached to the two we picked out and ready for 2 kittens to come home to us. Their names were...
Read moreWe recently decided to add a new addition to the family, a cute kitty named Jinx! I poured over the Humane Society, pet stores and didn't really connect with any of the animals. We went to the cat cafe just to play with the cats and see if any stood out to us. Unfortunately they did not but the level of care that went into these cats stuck with me. I went on CKC website and felt a tug towards a kitty named Jinx. Both the owner of the Cat Cafe and Megan reached out to me within the next business day! When we went to meet Jinx I will say WOW! I loved her foster parents, they are both retired vets/vet neurologists who worked with CSU and partook with her intake (I was this close to asking Ray to adopt me LOL!) they gave me all of her background info and answered any questions I had. They were the perfect foundation to her life to allow us to come in and adopt her. I'm so thankful to CKC/Ray and Stephanie for their thoughtfulness, attentiveness and care. Y'all are amazing! Expect a...
