Did a Gertrude Hawk fundraiser for my child's school and had the worst experience with this company. My child sold a significant amount of candy for their school, and we were told a certain date 2 weeks before Easter as to when the candy would be delivered. Upon delivery date, we were notified that there was going to be a delay in the delivery, but it would be the next day. That is fine. No big deal. Pick up my child's significant order from school and we are missing almost HALF of the candy that was ordered! Go through the necessary reporting of missing items, by contacting the fundraising rep, he was very unpleasant to deal with and like to talk over me when I was contacting him about the current issue at hand, and am told that the missing items will be shipped to my home and would be 2 business days. Second delivery day comes, open up the boxes and guess what!? STILL MISSING ITEMS. When contacted via phone by the school's PTSO, because he would not answer my call or call me back, the lovely fundraising rep accused me of lying about my missing items and stated, "The boxes weighed what they were supposed to weigh. So how did she not get the missing items?" I would not lie about missing items from over a $1000+ candy order. After going back and forth, he FINALLY told myself and the PTSO that my last missing items will be shipped out but he cannot guarantee that I would get them before Easter. Did not get them before Easter, as UPS does not deliver on Saturdays. Monday after Easter I call the rep and he finally answers a call and am told that he does not have a tracking number for me, but that he was "working on it". After 4.5 hours of no further updates, I call him back and no answer. Calling back in and asking to speak to someone higher up then the "gentleman" I've been dealing with and the someone higher up is off today. Go figure. Leave a message for the woman, still have yet to hear a word from her -HORRIBLE customer service with this company, I call back in. Directed this time to their 'Traffic' department, and finally spoke to a woman who was more than willing to help me out, as no one else in the company seemed interested or competent to do so. She calls me back with a possible tracking number. About 15 mins after speaking with the wonderful woman from the traffic department, I get an email from the fundraiser rep; he gave me the same number as the woman, however, it was not a valid tracking number. After getting the number from the woman, I put it in the UPS tracking and got an error message. Contacted UPS and they said they have no record of my package or shipment from Gertrude Hawk. I expressed this unfortunate information to the rep and he argued it was correct when I was telling him per UPS it was wrong. 10 mins later in a follow up email, guess what!? UPS "found" my package and now my tracking number "worked". It should not have taken this rep and this company almost 2 weeks to get my order correct in its entirety. Gertrude Hawk has horrible fundraising reps and their communication and response time to an issue is a joke. For as much as my child sold for their company, being called a liar and dealing with incompetent people who do not care about their customers, I will never buy another Gertrude Hawk product or participate in another Gertrude Hawk fundraiser.
