My daughter and I went in to purchase a swimsuit for her. When checking out the cashier advised that I was pre approved for a credit purchase and stated I would receive 40% off if I agreed. I told her that I already had a credit card but it was in my husbands name. The cashier then advised that because I was preapproved I could have a card in my own name. My trepidation with that was I don't have good credit. But she told me don't worry you are pre approved. I thought it would be wonderful to rebuild my credit because she in fact told me that I was preapproved. So I agreed to it and filled out the information required. When she ran it through I was not approved. Not only was I not approved which I didn't think I would be in the 1st place I did not get the 40% off. I explained to her that it was unfair to tell customers that they were preapproved when in fact they would have no way of knowing that until the credit application was submitted. She said "I have no idea, your balance is $117.00." I walked out feeling dejected. This isn't a fair business practice. Employees are ALWAYS friendly, but not conscientious. Last week I picked up an online order and got a call an hour later saying I had another package (I had picked up one the week before). I came back the next day and the employee told me I should have called because SHE had made a mistake and I have both packages (Really?!! Why did she not call me back again to tell me this?!). Yesterday, I called to ask if the shipment of a certain kind of tights had come in. This employee said yes, but was not sure if she had 2-3 pairs in my size since they were still in the back. Read moreI came into the store with a return. I walked up to the register where the manager and three associates ignored me for over 15 minutes as they checked their hours for the next week. The manager finally looked up, saw me, and told one of the associates to take care of me. One associate approached and I explained I wanted to return these two items. She looked up the items on my account and told me I could look around. She later came up and told me I could not return these two items and I had to take them back. I went to the register and asked a question about one of the items and was met with an associate who told me I already knew they were clearance and pushed the items my way.
