A very disappointing and stressful experience for my daughter. The staff was curt, bordering on rude, and pessimistic about my daughter finding a dress in her price-range. Although, I told them our budget on the phone and I was assured that they had dresses that would work, we were only shown 2 dresses in that range. When my daughter found one dress that she liked (but didn't love), Suzanne did offer us a very good deal on it... but then went on to say that she was offering it to us at such a huge discount that she was already wondering how she was going to make up the financial loss to herself. I found this to be a very unprofessional and condescending thing to say. If you can't afford to sell a dress at that price, don't offer it. But don't make the poor bride feel indebted to you for your generosity. My daughter was so stressed and discouraged by the time we left. We went 10 minutes up the road to Sue Ames Bridal Outlet instead and had the complete opposite experience. Nadia was friendly, understanding, and accommodating. My daughter instantly relaxed. She tried on several dresses, laughed and had fun. And she found a dress she liked 10 times better than anything at Jon's Bridal. Maybe if you have thousands to spend on your gown they treat you differently, but really, no bride should be made to feel that her budget and her dreams are hopeless and...
Read moreThis bridal store has screwed up two weddings I was in this summer. Their timelines for shipping are completely unreliable and it is VERY difficult to get a straight answer from the staff.
First wedding we ordered our bridesmaids dresses 10 months in advance. The store said we had a 6 month lead time on dresses. These dresses arrived 1 month before the wedding. We had no idea when they were coming in since we could not get a straigh answer and then had to scramble to get the out of town girls their dresses to be fitted before the big day.
Second wedding was even worse. Dresses are now scheduled to arrive TWO WEEKs before the wedding when they were ordered 8 months in advance. These are standard stock bridesmaid dresses- not custom made garments. We have bridemaids in california and Alaska who will now not have the option of alterations due to Jon's floating timelines. We called every two weeks on progress and were told every time "oh shipping next week". Unfortunately this information was completely false.
So now I am scrambling as a matron of honor to figure out a mess created by this bridal shop that was completely unecessary and no fault of our own. Please be wary before choosing this establishment. Weddings are huge occasions and addition stresses are...
Read moreCan I give no stars. I drove about 45 minutes to go to the shop itself, to be sure the measurements were right. Months go by and my dress comes in and it doesn’t fit and when I say it doesn’t fit it REALLY did not fit. I did not gain but rather lost weight, it was tight at my rib cage. The bride had picked up the dresses as she was local and we found the dress didn’t fit. She went to the bridal shop showed pictures she explained the situation .she said it be better if they could see me in the dress , but ordering a new one wasn’t even an option according to Suzanne.I drove back to the shop Suzanne made it seem as if I ordered the wrong size and this measurement mistake was mine! Why would I go home and remeasure myself as I’d expect the shop knew what they were doing .They told me that based on my measurements that I’d be a “0” or “2” so I went with the larger size and it didn’t even zip up. The shop was not very helpful basically using their “bullet proof ” Contract to have them not at fault for anything even if it was. Almost the whole bridal party ran into the same nightmare. Now I had to spend almost the cost of the dress for it to altered to fit. Suzanne asked the bride if I had changed my birth control The Nerve!...
