Every time we horseback ride or mountain bike at Trexler Game Preserve we come here for food. I usually get the kids cheeseburger meal. For $7 it’s a super deal. Fries are always toasty, kids burger is decent size and comes with all the toppings you desire for free plus a kids drink or can upgrade to a milkshake for slight up charge. My teenage son gets a full burger and large fries and always leaves full ( quite a feat for a growing teenager after MTB for a few hours!). My younger kids get kids burger or piping hot crispy chicken tenders. We ve been here at least ten times even through Covid. Line moves pretty fast ( weekends it can be busy with zoo traffic) wait time, even when they’re busy is reasonable since all food is cooked to order. Usually it’s a ten minute wait but we ve waited 25 min when they’re busy. Only thing I’d add is to bring milkshakes early to table since soda you can get early ( fill your own and they have great tea and flavored water selection and free refills) Service is always good, though lots of inexperienced kids seem to work the register so be understanding as they learn to be good employees. Though again, if I were mgr I’d stress to give ppl their shakes within a minute or 2 of ordering do they have something to drink while they wait. As a mom and business owner I appreciate they hire kids furs first job and teach them. Food is always fresh and they deliver right to table. Tables are always clean, nice large clean bathrooms, nice big windows and easy parking for horse trailers. Condiments ( real Heinz ketchup in squeeze bottles!) and napkins are on table and plastic ware, to go ketchup packs etc are easy to grab by register. Milkshakes are tasty. They’re happy to give extra sauce if you ask. Comfortable seating. We’ve been very happy and will continue to come back for the good food and...
Read moreWe went here for dinner at 5:30pm Saturday thinking we would get there to beat the dinner rush. There was no line and perhaps three sets of people waiting for their order. We waited until just after 6:20 before our food finally came…50 minutes is an outrageous amount of time to wait for dinner at a burger joint. Even when we got the order, it was full of errors. We had three kids meals which were all relatively easy - three cheeseburgers, fries and a lemonade for a drink…the error here, they did not give us any drinks at all - three lemonades. We also asked for a water which we did not get. We also asked for a way back classic plain with tangy barbecue and mushrooms on the side. The burger came out with ketchup and mustard on it…no mushrooms or tangy barbecue on the side. The staff was mostly aloof and apathetic - they need some serious training. We usually go to Smashburger down the street and we will stick with that in the future for the convenience - their burger and fries are better and slightly cheaper and the meal is always ready in 10-15 minutes no matter how crowded it’s been. If we ever want a treat and willing to travel - we go to The Drip in Hellertown. Last note: we have been to the Wayback burger up 309 in Schnecksville and we were happy with the experience - so we know the potential is there. Unfortunately, the early start for this place is bad enough that I don’t think they...
Read moreEntirely disappointing in almost every way that matters for a "premium" price. Avoid. Just keep driving to Wendy's ( just as good, half the price ) or 5 guys ( twice the food, twice as good, piping hot, for the same price ), or 1760 where its consistently good, served faster, hotter and you can get a beer for the same price.
Burgers were mostly flavorless, came out luke warm, "large" fry was a 1" deep 6" layer also luke warm. Onion rings were average, also vaguely warm. Now that they no longer have their signature potato crisps, it's just the same as everyone else.
It also took like 20 minutes - of which I assume 10 was it sitting around getting cold. 20 minutes for hot food? Fine. 20 minutes for warm-ish food means it sat... a while.
I am 3 minutes from this place, so I really want it to be awesome, but based on this visit and some other feedback from others, I cannot imagine wanting to go there ever again. Advice to owner: How about you show up an manage your crew, focus on quality, speed - you can tell this is an absentee owner situation. And bring back the crisps. That was your diffentiator.
Your staff was all very nice, efficient, but 20 minutes to get cold food means something is broken behind the pass.
The other location near Kids Peace was pretty awesome. But same issues there as well. Have we...
