BEWARE OF THE UNDISCLOSED NO REFUND POLICY

While I won’t discount the encounters of the other "customers" (whose reviews coincedently started to appear only days after I refused to remove an earlier review that I had written about the “establishment”), my experience with Brother’s Jewelry was in stark contrast to all of the others previously mentioned on this site. In short, it was disastrous.

I misplaced my oh, so precious Natural Sapphire ring and mistakenly visited Brother’s Jewelry expecting a high quality replacement. I placed an order and provided a down payment in the amount of 3 times what was requested. Two weeks later, I was notified that the piece had been completed. What was presented to me, in no way resembled the exact specifications from the original manufacturer that was provided. I addressed the issues with Mikael and his father, once again expecting high quality work. On both a second and a third occasion, a “corrected” ring that was presented to me did not resemble my former piece nor match the specifications I requested. After the third encounter I requested a refund four times, only to be refused at the final attempt by the father in an aggressive and defensive tone. Mind you, there were no signs posted notifying customers of a no refund policy. I attempted to mediate through the BBB, but reached no resolution, as the “establishment” refused to refund my full deposit. In the end, I refused to accept the substandard piece, and as a result, was made to have an additional ring designed and created by the original manufacturer. Although, I’ve been without my prized piece for 6 months now and have expended a small sum with nothing to show for it, I can rest easy knowing that I have a high quality piece in progress and I can notify others of this trap. My experience with Brothers Jewelry was excellent!! They came highly recommended from a friend who has been using them for years for repairs and creating rings, earrings, necklaces, and bracelets from scratch.

I needed help with an engagement ring. I elicited some ideas from my girlfriend’s mom and sisters. They looked around on their own and emailed me a few pictures of a ring they liked. I showed the owner on my cell phone the picture of the ring my soon to be in-laws picked out. Within seconds he recognized the design and the original brand that it came from. He told me that he has made this same exact ring over a dozen times. Two days later his son emailed me a professional CAD drawing of the ring that I was able to tweak the design if I needed to.

My experience was easy! The whole grueling process I was warned about when picking and designing an engagement ring did not happen. The owners are clearly expert jewelry makers that have been doing this for decades. The son brings a modern twist that he can create your design on a CAD to show you before it is casted and he also emailed me pictures of the ring throughout the whole process.

Brothers Jewelry is quaint jewelry store (more like a manufacture) that is tucked into an alley off Jewelers Row. The store does not have flashy mirrors and lighting, no pushy sales people in fancy suits, and no giant signs and billboards. This made me feel good that the cost of my ring was not going towards some big time advertising agencies pocket.

Absolutely an amazing experience. I wanted to head to Jewelers Row to look for an engagement ring for my girlfriend. We stopped at several places to look and see what they had to offer. Most of the places that we stopped and looked at gave us the same "sales" talk. I had remembered about reading online about Brothers and how it was an alleyway but it was awesome. I figured we would try it out. Once I walked into the store, I knew this was the place I was going to buy the ring at. Mike was incredible from the moment I met him. He helped answer all of my questions. While I was there a person from another store on Jewelers Row came in with diamonds for this store to fix! Other stores use Brothers to help them make their diamond rings! I was in shock that this went on, but at the same time it solidified that this is the place to buy from.

Mike found a diamond that I liked and made the ring happen in a couple days! He was also awesome with communication. Overall my fiancee loves the ring and cannot stop starring at it. I will be recommending this place to any of my friends who are looking to...
