Karns Foods — Local services in Lower Paxton Township

Positives: They have good produce here. They have high quality meat as well. The sorting for this is very simple and easy to find what you want. The Walls have a nice paint job, and the aisles are tended to quite well. They keep their frozen products cold but not icing over like some other grocers. You will come home with a popsicle that is covered in ice at other grocers but not here. They have quality frozen food that is easy and simple to make.

Negatives: The walls have many scuff marks and there are stains on the ground. They do not manage to stock products to their fullest and you can have situations where what you want won't be stocked.

Overall: This is a good grocer if you are in a hurry and need to grab something. There are chances the one thing you went into the store for will be out of stock. The paint job is nice, but the marks on the walls stop you from appreciating it. Overall it's a pretty good...

Their meat department is second to none. Short of an actual Butcher Shoppe (which no long exist outside of a metropolis), Karn's meats are the best choice. They offer the largest selection of cuts, and the ability to special order anything they may not have in stock.

I find their prices on their non-meat department goods to be higher than other chain stores...a.k.a. Giant Foods, Wegman's, Weis. However, that being said, they have a GREAT international food aisle that has great prices, and the largest variety I've found in Central PA (outside an asian market).

They have self-checkout lanes, which is nice. They have a club card, but it's not required to get sale prices (yeah!).

I don't find Karn's to be conveniently located to me, but I drive the extra mile when I want the best meats at the best prices. Oh, and their customer service is out...

Yesterday Dec.14 2024 around 4:15 stop in Karns on Allentown blvd to pick up couple of things an I pick up some Awesome Paper towels. Well they rung up as $9 but the in but on the display, they were had $6.94 so when told the cashier he called a person the check price In display an it said $6.94 she told the person working Customer service Register so she took the $3 off but said to me she will do it this time but next I have to the pay what it ring up I didn’t understand that at all. We pay the price what it said if they on sale that what I expect to pay not the regular price. But to say that was rude. Why she say this to me. Yes I work hard everyday an I never had a problem like this before why would you say this to a hard working person that spend my money helping to...
