ORIGINAL: Mr. Keith is the nicest man and the most helpful! Customer service is top notch! Beautiful pieces of jewelry in a non-pushy atmosphere. Mr. Keith is a jeweler and not a salesman. If you know anything about gemstones, the quality he has is top-notch for extremely competitive prices. Compared to Zale’s, Kays, and Jared's, his stones are exceptional. This is a small-town business I will support. Mr. Keith will tell you he, "wants to earn your business," and by his actions and friendliness you can tell he means it.

UPDATE: I could not go into a lot of detail in my previous review, but now I can. I bought an engagement ring from J Keith's Jewelry and my original opinion of Mr. Keith and J Keith's Jewelry has not changed! They are exceptional! My first visit, I went into the store once by myself and Mr. Keith showed me some loose diamonds, I was interested in. I wasn't sure or sold on a diamond yet, but he wrote a note about my favorite stones. I asked him for help with a setting. My fiancée and I found a setting she liked at Jared’s, but Mr. Keith showed me how the construction of that ring was not the best. He wasn't pushy and he did not talk poorly about the other business, just was honest. Mr. Keith helped me pick out a similar and better constructed setting and he ordered it into the store so I could see it. He didn't charge me a dime to do it and it showed he really cared.

My second visit was with my now fiancée. I told her we were just going to look at a setting I found for her. Mr. Keith was SO smooth! He put the setting on my fiancé’s finger, and she loved it. He said, "you can't really get a feel for it unless there's a stone in it." So, he took the three diamonds I had looked at earlier on my first visit and he set them in the ring loosely so she could get a feel for it. She of course fell in love with one, which ended up being the stone I bought. She had no idea she chose her diamond and it made the large purchase a little easier for me. Mr. Keith was totally responsible for that and I'm so thankful.

Mr. Keith's exceptional customer service didn't stop there. He was helpful with payment and pickup plans (especially complicated due to COVID) and he even sent our diamond to GIA to get inscribed because I told him I felt more comfortable with an inscribed diamond. He even recommended an excellent jewelry insurance company.

Months later, I've proposed, and she has said yes! We are looking forward to going in together to meet with Mr. Keith to purchase wedding bands. Thank you so much Mr. Keith.

SIDE NOTE: Mr. Keith's diamonds were exceptional quality for what they were rated in my non-professional opinion. I looked at a lot of magnified diamonds online and in big box stores like Jared's, Zale’s, etc. In each instance, a similarly rated diamond in the big box store was exponentially more expensive and worse looking than the stones J Keith's offered. It’s rare nowadays to find a better deal in-store rather than online, and with J Keith's I felt like I was able to. The prices weren't "too good to be true" but I felt like J Keith's prices were more competitive with the online diamond stores and his prices definitely blew the big box stores out of the water.

My wife and I have been married for 25 years. We used to live in the apartments caddy corner from Keith's little shop (back then). One day, my then girlfriend, talked me into going into the jewelry store and we met Keith who had long blonde hair and a smile that made the diamonds seem dull. He took time to teach us about diamonds and we decided to begin paying for a 7/8 car karat loose diamond. I would stop in and give him $50 every so often and to my surprise, Deena had been going in and making payments as well. When the ring was played off, Deena got her wish and we were engaged! There was no internet to leave a review back then but I certainly told all of my friends about the great deal I got. We bought 4 more rings over the years and for our 25th anniversary this year, we wanted to update Deena's ring. Because we no longer live in Texas, Keith helped us with how to ship mine and Deena's wedding rings back to Lubbock. We decided to combine our ring to make a single modern designed ring for my bride. We asked that a few pieces of the extra gold be saved from each of our rings so when Keith makes our kids wedding rings they can have a piece of our rings in theirs. We sent a few pictures of rings we liked and gave him full design control. He came in 30% under the quote and 100% over our expectations... again!

Keith is our family jeweler no matter where we live. I have never had a better buying experience...
