I’m writing to share a recent experience I had while shopping at this River ridge Homegoods with my 25 year old niece ,who creates vlogs for her YouTube channel . She loves capturing interesting moments , including her store visits . While we were in here , I overheard two employees , one identified themself as a manager , mocking her for filming herself ! They laughed , suggesting she was just another “ jobless influencer living in her parents basement. “
Feeling upset about the situation , I spoke up and reminded them that it’s not kind to belittle others . I mentioned that my niece has impressive experience , having been an assistant manager at Belk at just 20 years old . Unfortunately ,they dismissed my comments with a condescending “that’s a nice story, sweetheart. “ followed by more laughing .
My niece was a bit upset by their remarks , but she chooses to see it as motivation to keep pursuing her passion . As her aunt , I was disappointed by their behavior but I admire her resilience .Everyone deserves respect , and I hope this serves as a reminder to celebrate creativity rather than mock it . Hope there is more training for this store . Corporate needs to do something ! Reading other reviews on Google , I see this is common for them to be very...
Read moreLove this store, been in here multiple times and keep coming back. Employees are amazing, everyone helps out. Noticed a girl today doing rugs, short girl in a whiteish long sleeve, you could tell she was struggling but had a smile on her face the whole time. Didn’t seem like she called for help but a lady came over to help her load in a cart for a customer. Just excellent customer service. I would say the cashiers need to smile a little bit more but still all very friendly! Would recommend this...

There were several employees moving items around ALL over. So we went about shopping and the employees were actually making comments about people being in the way, physically blocking aisles, and rolling their eyes. My thoughts..... if you dont want people to shop what you are putting out or on carts, then you need to do before and after opening/closing stocking. And... in this economy you should be thankful people are buying...
