First of all John is incredible, so friendly and professional. He made the whole experience of coming in for my husband’s Christmas gift (a new watch) easy and fun. I had made a wishlist of watches I knew my husband would like and I asked John to lay them out, hide the price tags and not let my husband know any pricing information when he came in to choose one. John was just great! I had made quite a list from this location and the Midland store too and John was patient and thoughtful and got it all ready beautifully for display. This was a surprise for my husband, he had No idea where I was taking him or for what and he was blindfolded 2 miles from the store location so he did not know where we were. My husband selected a watch from the selection laid out that he immediately felt was “him.” John never wavered on not divulging pricing information and even told my husband that was not to ask him, “as per the rules.” Not only was my husband surprised but he absolutely loves his new watch. While we were there John also fixed 2 of my older women’s watches and 2 of my husband’s older watches within minutes. The selection, quality and especially service was Top Notch 100%, this is a small business my husband and I will support for years and years! We now have a jeweler we can trust and rely on for excellent quality goods and superior service. I needed to get some jewelry repaired so I did a google search for someplace local. Chandel had nothing but 5 star reviews, AND they had A LOT of them. John, the owner, was awesome! He was super friendly, very hospitable, and down-to-earth. Nobody likes a snooty jeweler and John is quite the opposite. I felt like I was talking to a cousin or an uncle (that I like, lol). While there, he cleaned my rings and he noticed that the prongs on my 25 year old engagement ring were extremely worn down. I think it was karma that I stepped into his shop because if he didn't notice I probably would have lost a very expensive and sentimental stone. John fixed the setting and when picked it up it looked like a brand new ring! My ring has inclusions - so yes, I did check to make sure the repaired ring had my diamond in it. And it did. So not only is John a nice guy but he is trustworthy too! Now I'm having a ring made by Chandel -- I can't wait to get it.
