Mr. Lesnicki did the repair work on the Eames chair I inherited, an early model with Brazilian rosewood. I couldn’t be happier with the results. First, he took the time to thoroughly explain in an email why it broke and what he would need to do to fix it. Every Herman Miller Eames Lounge Chair is held together by four shock mounts that commonly weaken and come apart over time. Despite being susceptible to these breaks, the manufacturer has kept the mount's original design. Second, he picked up and delivered the chair from my house in Rockland County, NY, free of charge. Third, he charged a surprisingly reasonable rate, far lower than the quotes I got from other places.
Mr. Lesnicki replaced the old shock mounts and removed the embedded epoxy. He also routed out old glue joints and prepared the wood veneer surface to be flat. The repair included the first layer beneath the veneer shock mounts and new proprietary glue for the shock mounts. He then tested the shock mounts for durability. Fourth, he finished the work much earlier than the time frame he initially promised. Fifth, the job done on the repaired areas is impeccable. There are no visible signs of damaged wood, and the chair is highly stable. Mr. Lesnicki is a consummate professional, passionate about conserving these chairs. He takes pride in his work. If you are on the fence about who you should trust with repairing your Eames chair, call Mr. Lesnicki; he is a godsend. You’ll be...
Read moreSlav picked up our Eames Lounge that had a loose shock, broke the lower back shell on the other side, then repaired it. The repair lasted 13 months. When it broke again he wanted nothing to do with the warranty, or repairing the damage. My Lounge is worse than when he got it. It is an early 60's Lounge, I am very upset. 1/3/23 Looking at your reviews, possibly one from Gelman is not fake, all others but one from people with one review. All the others are fake, except mine. Your funny, saying I wasn't a customer, lol. My...
Read moreWe could not be happier. Our two loungers (mid 60's and mid 70's) had broken shock mounts, torn upholstery, faded rosewood and had an overall tired, faded and bedragled look. In about 6 weeks they came back to us in gorgeous condition. Slawomir is absolutely a master craftsman who understands the Eames line and takes loving patient care to do the work right. My wife and I wholeheartedly...
