Stay away from Snow Brothers
For 30 years my wife and I have purchased appliances from Snow Brothers Appliance in Lyndhurst Ohio. In those years we have also referred many family and friends to also shop there. As recently as 2 years ago my son and his wife bought $10k worth of appliances for the new house they had built. Their delivery guys showed up without a dolly or equipment to bring them into the house. Then when they called their salesman he had the nerve to yell at them because they lived on a gravel road. I should have learned from their experience but I didn’t. So recently in September 2024 my wife and I bought a new GE garage freezer. But my story begins 3 years ago when my wife and I purchased a new GE microwave, electric oven and a large refrigerator that had a price of $2999 for the refrigerator alone. The refrigerator was delivered by two guys who had no clue what they were doing. They forced the refrigerator through my front door ripping out the power chord and also ruining the circuit board it was attached too. After several weeks Snow Brothers finally had it fixed. And it has worked for the last 3 years other then having a strange sound over that period of time. Well that strange sound was a cracked condensor fan. In September 2024 that fan fell apart and the water dispenser and ice maker also stopped working. As well as the outside panels heating to an untouchable surface because of the heat. Two different appliance repair men said it was unfixable because it must have also been dropped when delivered because the bottom frame was crushed which caused the issues with the fan. One of them had us put a portable fan behind the unit to act like a condensor fan. We have been living with the refrigerator in the middle of our kitchen for the last 3 months with the fan behind it to prevent a fire from starting. In those 3 months I have been dealing with Corey Kirby at Snow Brothers who has been giving me the run around the whole time saying dont worry Snow Brothers will take care of it. I learned his idea of fixing the problem was to try and get Epic who they sold me a warranty for, and GE who made the product pay for it. Neither were really responsible for the issue since it was caused by Snow Brothers employees. Well I talked to both those companies numerous times and learned of everything that was and was not taking place from the stories Corey kept feeding me. Coreys idea of fixing the problem was to give me $800 that GE had offered though they were not responsible for anything that happened. Snow Brothers was not even willing to help me by offering anything off on a new refrigerator. After Corey jerking me around for these last 3 months I gave up on Snow Brothers who was at one time a really good company. I talked to GE once again and made a deal with them myself. I will never purchase anything from Snow Brothers again. I guess with the way society is today it is no surprise that this company has gone right down the toilet like society itself. I tried to state everything in a nice way but I hope you can read between my statements how I...
Read moreOur family and friends all recommended that we purchase our new appliances from Snow Brothers. So, my husband and I went one weekend in November 2021 to purchase all new kitchen appliances. We have specific needs in our kitchen since the refrigerator is against a wall. We took our measurements with us and relied on the sales associate's expertise and knowledge in helping us select a refrigerator that would work for the space. He specifically told us that we could not have a french door refrigerator because of the clearance and showed us the only two models that we could fit in the space. We were disappointed we could not order a french door to fit that space because we were hoping to purchase the GE Cafe line. But, relying on the experience of the Snow Brothers, we ordered one of the two he said would fit and ordered other stainless steel appliances that he recommended for the kitchen (which are fine). We wanted the matte white GE Cafe line, not stainless. Knowing we were limited by the refrigerator, we selected other options. We believe what happened was that he created the invoice, but it did not capture all of the rebates. He reissued the invoice to include an additional rebate and on the second invoice a different refrigerator was listed. On delivery day, a french door refrigerator was delivered. As the sales associate stated it does not work in the space (the handle (which is huge) hits the wall when it is opened 90 degrees). We tried to remedy the situation by calling immediately upon delivery, but we were told that there is nothing that can be done and the sales associate would speak to his supervisor on Monday. On Monday, we received a call from the sales associate (not his supervisor) stating that we had a discussion where we decided to order this refrigerator and decided against another french door design because of the depth. That conversation never happened. Depth of the refrigerator was never discussed. The only discussion we had was that we could not put a french door in that space and that we would be limited to one of two with a bottom freezer and one door. If we could have ordered a french door refrigerator for the space, we would not have ordered what was delivered, but would have ordered one that matched the other appliances. On Tuesday, my husband spoke to the manager who merely stated that she was sorry for our frustration. We no longer will shop at Snow Brothers. We will be purchasing a new refrigerator that will fit the space from another store (after much research and help from the new store, we found a refrigerator that is in stock...
Read moreWe chose to go here because we saw a great deal on a refrigerator. When we entered the store, no one seemed to want to assist us at first, however we got some assistance after approaching the counter. Unfortunately the item we wanted was no longer available and we were ok with that because this happens. We picked out a standard fridge, nothing fancy. When we scheduled the delivery date we had to wait 2 business weeks. We were apprehensive because the reason we were getting the appliance is because ours went out. However we understood that they were busy and we did it. So today is the delivery day and we received a call stating that one of the trucks went out and it happened to be the one with our appliances on it. We were told that unfortunately, we could not get it delivered today, however we could be rescheduled for Wednesday , Thursday or Saturday. When asked why the next day wasn't an option the first response was "I just do as I'm told." When we inquire more we were told "Tuesday was packed, and they shouldn't have to wait." My problem with this isn't the fact that the truck broke down. It's how they decide to problem solve. It isn't my fault the delivery failed. I have no choice in which truck my appliance is on, or that it can't be delivered due to the truck breaking down. Their answer to the problem was to inconvenience us after waiting 2 BUSINESS weeks for delivery. There was no compensation of any kind for it, and we were being gaslit to believe that the "fitting you in" was the best they could do If the delivery had failed because of something on my end, then ok, I see how I have to be fit in. Yet you don't try to make it right, you treated it as if what happened was ok and gave a weak apology and a terrible fix to the problem. If I paid for something, and waited, then if you mess up, you should rectify with as little FURTHER inconvenience to me, not "fit me in." You do not make it seem as if you are doing me a favor by POORLY correcting the problem. You dont decide that we just "have to be fit in". The problem was on your end. It was frustrating. I would not recommend this business to any one else. UPDATE: The same day that I posted this review, the owner of the company reached out to me. She was extremely apologetic and empathetic to the situation. They corrected the issues very quickly. She made accommodations that were fair and reasonable. Today I had the appliance delivered. The delivery men Anthony and Merv were super nice and professional. They really made us feel like V.I.P.'s. We were very happy with...
