I can't believe how the layout of this place is worse after the remodel. Inside and out are both worse in their own ways. Whoever designed this layout failed and did not think about the logistics at all. I even made diagrams so hopefully the owners can see how dumb everything is laid out.

Inside first(Red- In line, Green - Waiting for order) - There was nowhere to wait for your order that wasn't in the way before, but now its infinitely worse. Everyone waiting for their order and people getting in line end up standing on top of each other. This ends up blocking the entrance and exits. Sometimes there are so many people waiting for their orders that they cant even use the 2nd register. Additionally, the only place to get like napkins, spoons, lids and straws is at the pickup area making more people crowd around and push through each other. They also put two tables in there in the way making it even more crowded. The freezers are now also completely blocked by the line, so if you want to browse whats in them you have to wait in line or push through people.

How to make it better, block off the front entrance and make the make the left side the only entrance, keep the existing exit. Adjust the stanchions so the entrance to the line faces the new single entrance. Get rid of the tables, make another spot for lids and napkins where the tables were.

Outside - I honestly think the city is going to need to get involved at some point its so bad. The drive-through was a mistake. It's causing traffic issues at an already challenging intersection. There is no way to make it work given the position of the building and how much room there is. There is no way for people entering from Brainard to see if the drive-though is full, by the time they pull in and come around the front corner of the building, they are already stuck in the parking lot, blocking in who is parked with nowhere to go. This leads to a line of cars all the way from the drive-through to the entrance on Brainard, blocking in the entire parking lot and sometimes even blocking people exiting the drive-through. Effectively nobody can enter from Mayfield because they are forced to go right into the drive-through that is regularly blocked. People cant leave on Mayfield either because of all the issues with the drive-though. Parked people have to look for an opening and try to go the opposite way of the people coming in from Brainard. People are regularly parking at Wallgreens and walking over, people coming from Mayfield have to go around to Brainard and get stuck in the traffic of people leaving and entering.

How to make it better: There is no way to really do that without major construction, I think the only option is to scrap the drive-through entirely and restore the Mayfield entrance to the way it was. Maybe make the whole back side where it is currently a sitting space and a walk-up window and the waiting area just a pass-through to...

I love their custard. My favorite is a kid sized turtle with whipped cream and a cherry. The hot fudge is always hot and that's important. Most places don't bother with the hot fudge actually being hot and that's just wrong on so many levels. The only thing I don't like about the place is the weird smell. Might be disinfectant, but whatever it is it's too strong.

What a difference a few months makes. Wow. All of the employees seem new and it's just not the same. I ordered a turtle and neither the caramel nor the hot fudge were hot. In fact there was no heat to either one and that is an important part of the sundae. Really bummed me out because this place in the past has always been on top of it and so good. Sadly not anymore.

First visit since the remodeling. Adding the drive-thru what a mistake. The place was already a nightmare when it came to getting in and out and now it's far worse. Sad what greed does especially when you know they expect the same number of employees to now work even harder. Okay so this time the hot fudge was let's say lukewarm. They told the person in front of me that it comes out scorching hot but that the custard immediately cools it down. Problem is the person in front of us got a little cup of just the hot fudge and it was not scorching. Here's the problem with hot fudge if it's not hot it will just clump up and that really doesn't work for a sundae. Same goes for caramel, especially on a turtle. They used to make things incredibly and consistently right, but those days seem to be behind us. Probably try the Mentor store next time because they actually answered the phone when I called and the young woman who answered really seemed on top of things. It's incredible what a difference different owners make. Clearly with the addition of the drive-thru we know exactly where the Lyndhurst owner's head is at. Yes this place used to be fantastic (read my first review above), but the owner hasn't been paying attention for at least a...

I love love love their Jamaica Vegan Shakes, however this is the 3rd time this month that the customer service was appalling and people in line were shocked when they handed now a vegan shake dripping& I asked may I pls have another cup to cover the dripping & they handed it to me with no apology for

The shake took 10 min to make & 4 people behind me received their sundaes and shakes & so I inquired if they forget my shake which they obviously did & no one said a word to me

They handed me a shake that was dripping all over

When I asked kindly for another cup to cover the dripping of the shake, the young man handed it to me with such an annoying look that the couple behind said “wow”.

Each week when I go myself or with my kids or my friends, the staff is getting worse and worse & will truly bring down their awesome reputation.

Very...

This is my favorite place in the whole entire world. I think about it everyday. I don’t even live in Mayfield anymore but I consider flying back quite often JUST to get East Coast. My favorite thing on the menu is definitely the concretes, but I change up the flavors and toppings every time. You can never go wrong with the birthday cake one. They’re also good with caramel sauce, peanut butter cups, everything. I go to bed every night thinking about EC and I wake up every day thinking about EC. My obsession is unhealthy, I recognize this, and I don’t care.

A must if you are in the area. The frozen custard is great. Melts quickly, so be prepared if you get a large cone. The ice cream cookies are incredible, I recommend the mint. Vanilla and chocolate are two classics, or you can try the pumpkin (seasonal). Overall, great oldschool vibes. Great place to go at night and eat on one of the benches on a hit summer day. Staff was working pretty quickly, we waited about 3 min until someone acknowledged us standing at the register. From there it took 10 seconds to get our treats!
