Called at about 0930 to have prescription transferred from CVS to Walgreens because CVS no longer accepts Tricare. They said it would be ready by 1100. I checked my Walgreens app around 1130 and saw there was nothing on record, so I called and they said aren't sure what happened but there was no transfer on record and would forward me to a pharmacist. Spoke with a pharmacist who took my information and RX# and said they would get it taken care of. I checked the app again a little after 1200, called and checked, and they said once again said there was no transfer or prescription on record and they will get it fixed. Finally, I checked around 1430, still nothing. I called, still nothing. They asked me if I'd like to speak to a pharmacist again and I said no, I'm going to another pharmacist because I'm done playing games. Walgreens has told my wife and I that our prescriptions will be done at certain times. When we check in around the time they say the prescriptions will be ready, they apologize and add two more hours, then sometimes add two more after that. I found that when I drive there and get in the drive thru, they'll actually give the prescription to me, but will NEVER inform when the prescription is ready. So ill just drive there, get in line sand say I'm not leaving until it's ready because I was told would be ready four hours ago, plus the extra time added on every time I call. Changing pharmacies because this place is frustrating and...
Read moreVery unhappy with Pharmacy service. Technician filing with insurance was unable to get it to process, so I said I would return the next day to pick up because the other medication was out of stock, and would not be available until noon the next day. When I arrived at 1:00pm the second medication had not yet been processed, so I again said I could return later to pick them up. When I returned, I was told it had been rejected by the insurance because it had been been "filled elsewhere" yesterday. I explained it was in the same store, and I had not picked up because I was waiting for the second medication. The technician could not seem to undo the first transaction, and said I could not have it filed with the insurance, but could pay full price. I also tried calling to speak with someone to clear up the matter, and was on hold for over 15 minutes, as I drove across town, hanging up without having my call answered when I arrived at the pharmacy counter. Now I can't have the prescription sent to another pharmacy, because they still say I picked it up the day before. I believe they may need better training in processing prescriptions. I am three days now into my illness, with no hope of receiving my medication. As I post this I am on hold again trying to speak with management to resolve my issues. I have been on hold 18 minutes so far..and no response. My advice...take your...
Read moreIt is legitimately astonishing that this pharmacy still operates with how incompetent the staff seem to be. I don't know if the constant issues I've experienced are truly the result of the staff here not knowing or caring what they're doing, or if it's the result of the Walgreens company having universally bad practices, but being told your prescription is ready only to be forced to wait half an hour, to then be told they're out of stock is wildly unacceptable, especially when it somehow happens nearly every single time.
The last straw though was being outright lied to by one of the pharmacy techs. Not in the sense of "whoops we said it would be 15 minutes and it was actually 30 sorry", or the many instances of them claiming medicine is ready only to actually not have it at all. Oh no, in this case the tech told me that my out-of-stock prescription (that I waited an hour for them to "fill") could be transferred to another location half an hour away. I was assured that not only was this possible, but that she had already taken care of it. I drove to the other location, only to be told that the transfer in question was not only impossible, but would have been illegal. I don't know how you can have a pharmacy tech who gives outright illegal solutions to problems, but that's the magic of Walgreens, I suppose. I'd honestly rather go without my medication than ever put up with this...
