In response to Ethan Allen's comments, the spots on our furniture are not due to these being natural wood. They are circular, left by droplets of the white wash they used to create the rustic finish. And the smell, it was not something picked up in transit. It is a very strong sour smell that is still here over 2 months later and it makes our close smell. Whether or not they are natural chemicals, the odor is very unpleasant. And we're surprised it has lasted so long.
Original review: Sales person was very polite, got me a quote quickly, and made it easy to get two dressers ordered. But after the order was placed, things went down hill.
I was originally quoted 10-12 weeks for delivery, and it turned out to be 19 weeks. I understand that this is common nowadays for many reasons, but not once during the wait time did anyone contact me to provide an update. Instead, I had to reach out to them, multiple times, to find out what the status of our order was.
When our dressers were finally ready I was called to set up the delivery and told someone would call the day before to provide a delivery window. But no one called so I called them the morning of the delivery. I was then told that that notes only said to call 30 minutes before arrival. But again no call, the truck just showed up. The delivery folks were very professional and did a great job getting our heavy dressers upstairs.
The dressers themselves are of decent quality, but they really smelled of chemicals inside the drawers. We left the drawers open and empty for a week but no real change. Now almost a month later they still smell, and so do our clothes. The finish we chose was "washed" with a second color for a sort of distressed look. And there were multiple spots that didn't get cleaned up and some that won't clean up and look messy. Fortunately the ones we couldn't fix are on the edges of the drawers so when they're shut you can't see them.

The larger issue is that I was overcharged for my furniture and this was called out from the very beginning when I received the invoice on April 27th, 2021. I was told by my interior designer, Carol Burns that she would make the adjustment. This did not occur. I have sent multiple emails (most unanswered) as well as stopped at the store in which I was told I would be contacted and that did not occur. I was told that it would be taken care of and it still has not been resolved. It is unethical to incorrectly charge a customer and then fail to rectify it nor follow-up when requested. I had shopped around at other furniture stores but, in the end, the sofa I found at Ethan Allen fit all of the criteria I wanted. The fact that it was on sale made the decision final for me.
Everything from choosing fabric to final delivery went smoothly. Rosalva kept me updated on the timeline of building my new sofa to delivery of the sofa. The delivery was quick and simple with excellent communication from both the warehouse and the drivers.
