An adorable little tucked away park with historical Alderwood Manor landmarks and a preserved train cart. Despite it being next to a busy road, the moment you step onto the premises it feels somehow distant from it all. It's a little hard to explain; everything becomes quiet and disconnected from the rest of town, leaving one to connect peacefully with nature. Though very small it is mighty, with loads of foliage- some I had never seen before! Gorgeous trees of all sorts and plenty of photo opportunities. I actually will be coming back with my paints because I was inspired. I originally came upon this place when my husband and I were geocaching a great many years ago and it looks/feels exactly the same. If you're looking for a little local tranquility, I very much...
Read moreI'm so glad they made this park, preserving not only historic structures but also some amazing nature. It's also great if you just need somewhere...

The docents were fantastic and I loved getting to see all the old pictures, get tours of the trolley and buildings, and get some backstory on why the buildings are here. The docents suggested to the students that coming back on a Saturday with parents would give us more time to ask questions...
