Today, Sunday September 29th 2024 I had a very uncomfortable and unwelcoming experience at this store.
Ironically, I opened an account at this lynwood store 5 yrs ago and it's been an excellent experience because I many things that we need to my account with no problems.
Today, while looking for a watch, a simple g shock watch, an elderly woman sales person offered me a membership of some sort.
I'm a smart consumer. I review and see things for what they are. Plus my research tells me what makes sense to buy.
La Curacao will match just about any competitors prices, which in many cases it's guaranteed.
Anyway, this old woman became upset. As we both approached the registry, she very obviously whispered something to the young girl, which didn't look appropriate.
At that moment, I should have walked away and avoided them both, and went to another store.
At the moment of sales, the girl told me that my account was deactivated, urging me to pay cash or debit for the watch.
This made me feel sick, because if there was an issue with my account, La Curacao would have sent me an email or notification via text.
I have been a loyal customer for 5 years, and never missed a payment, ever.
These 2 people made us feel humiliated and belittled.
It's been over an hour since we left that store, and looking back, I still feel disappointed and unwelcome in that particular store.
Ironically, it's my first time since February that I've been there. Today, in search for a watch, I am going to a different store to purchase a watch.
I'm very disappointed in that La Curacao's personnel. Especially in those 2 people.
The older woman does not believe in what she's trying to sell to the public.
During our debate, she was extremely inconsistent in describing that membership. It is a 70 dollar membership to save money on product that are already have very good prices. La Curacao does not need to have a membership to product that have a price match program.
As far as the younger girl in the jewelry department behind the register at 1:55 pm, her faking like she was taking to someone on the phone, and telling me that my account has been deactivated, following our debate over a bogus membership with the old woman, it was extremely uncomfortable to be caught in their circle.
My wife and I just wanted to melt and dissappear from there fast urging us to never go back to that lynwood store.
TO THE PUBLIC. YOU AS CONSUMERS, ARE IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM OBLIGATED TO BUY OR JOIN SOMETHING THAT HAS NO BENEFIT. DURING THESE TOUGH TIMES, WE ARE ALL LOOKING TO SAVE AND BE SAFE AS WE ARE DOING SO.
BEING PUSHED AND HARASSED WILL ONLY OBLIGATE US TO AVOID GOING TO THESE STORES.
SALESPEOPLE SHOULD BE PROPERLY TRAINED AND EDUCATED, MAKING THEM FULLY AWARE OF THE PRODUCTS AND OR MEMBERSHIPS THAT THEY ARE TRYING TO SELL.
IN THIS SITUATION, PURCHASING A SAVINGS MEMBERSHIP IS INCONSISTENT WITH ADVERTISING EVERYDAY LOW PRICES AND PRICE A MATCH GUARANTEE POLICY.
IT IS NOT A SMART PURCHASE TO GET THIS MEMBERSHIP. BUT THIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINION.
La Curacao is still the best place to go open a new credit line. Making it yet the best place to shop for life's every day needs.
They have everything from home, outdoor and automotive essentials at the best rates, and will match best buy, target and Walmart.

Read moreI Really wanted to praise this store and my initial review was 5 stars after going too the store once. However I have to change that to 1 star because the service that I had installed onto my phone which was protection pro was not done to my expectations. I wanted my whole phone covered and thought that that was what I was paying $68 for. However upon taking my phone home and inspecting it further (I was told NOT to move it around much and to keep it in my box since I brought the original phone box in the store- so that I basically didn't inspect it how I wanted to out of the store) I noticed that the front screen was not fully covered and that the top, bottom, and sides were not covered as well. That was a MAJOR disappointment for me as I wanted to protect my $1400 phone as best I can without using a case and thought that I could with protection pro. I only later learned that the store doesn't know how to cover my entire phone, even though it CAN be done. I am EXTREMELY lenient and was willing to live with that. However as per a few days from the time of this writing one can see from the pics that I have provided that the screen is already peeling off. SO WHAT DID I PAY FOR!!!? The back is coming off FOR CERTAIN sure to leave my phone unprotected so now I'm getting a case anyway??? And the front is on its way! Not to mention that the camera portion of the protector has already come off. I'm not concerned about a job that wasn't well done or about a service that from curacao that couldn't be completed so well in the form of this protection pro but this store had the audacity to tell me that they can't even REFUND ME??? REALLY? LIKE FOR REAL MAIN? LOOK AT THE PHOTOS IN THIS PIC AND HOW THE FILM IS PEELING OFF THAT I PAID $68 FOR TO PROTECT MY $1400 PHONE AND YOU TELL ME THAT YOU CANT REFUND ME? SAD. Read moreWhen me and my friend walked into the store we weren't even greeted. I honestly didn't make a big stink out of it but my associate was kind of uncomfortable and aware of the miscommunication or unprofessionalism of the staff members not all but some at that particular location. We proceeded to find what we were looking for on our own period but it was a miss ed print on the price or it was a similar item a bundle package it was price about $130 above what we were trying to pay. So we ended up settling for an item that was at the store because the xBox wasn't even though the website told us different for that location. My associate had already situated the payment they prior to arriving at the location but once we got there there was some type of issue with the verification or whatever it may be so kind of lagged us or satisfied half an hour. I am I honestly think whoever's updating an merchandise should get help updating the stock whether it be it or some type of clerk. It's the holiday season people are driving all types of presents whether they be electronic or clothing or whatever and a lot of people don't have that much money after the expensive either if you get an Uber or pay for a taxi or have a friend drive you or have your own car it'll be a lawsuit pay to get to the location and then not have the item there even though you guys specifically told that you did on your website. I'm not really upset or happy you know, bothered by the situation. You simply giving a heads up. That's what I would like someone to tell me if I was running a business at Mass merchandise....
