Mean Chix Inc — Restaurant in Lynwood

Omg, I can't believe these reviews🤦‍♂️, I'm not sure if these people with a high review have ever tried any other Nashville hot chicken restaurant. I have tried many, if not most, of the hot chicken shops around, and this one is by far the least enjoyed. It's my second time giving this spot a chance. The first time was not pleasant either, chicken is super bland, no flavor and mostly dry, breading on the chicken tasted as if it was cooked in old oil, looks dark and medium spice was as if it didn't have any spiciness. Kale slaw was bland and just as tasteless as the chicken, regular bread which makes the sandwiches even more pale in any flavor, nothing pops out with any particular liking that you can enjoy, sauce is weak and disappointing doesn't taste like anything!!! You'll get more kick or flavor by mixing ketchup and mayo... fries are also plain and boring, nothing to give your palette any excitement of flavor from anything. Would not...

This place with a catchy name , is not what I was expecting. The chicken tenders are big but is missing flavor. The only flavor found is the chili powder they use . I got the slider combo , the coleslaw they use on the slider is nice and tasty . Then they put a chicken tender and top with their special sauce (the sauce taste very good , I liked it a lot ). I got a combo 3 as well. That is 2 chicken tenders with fries. Got this tenders with the “OMG” chili powder and that’s all you can taste. Chicken tenders are not seasoned when cook and they just put chili powder after is cooked. Their fries are a crinkle cut with nothing added (not even salt) . The bottom line is the MeanChix is highly over price for a 2 chicken tender combo with fries (they sit the chicken tenders on a white piece of bread that is toasted on just one side. I finally made it to Mean Cow & Mean Chix in Lynwood, and let me tell you — this place lives up to the hype.

I ordered the double smash burger and added jalapeños… WOW. Perfectly crispy edges, juicy in the middle, and the jalapeños gave it the right kick. Seriously one of the best smash burgers I’ve had in a while.

I also tried the Cow Fries — loaded with a smash patty, grilled onions, and more flavor than I could’ve imagined. These might just be some of the best fries I’ve ever had. No joke.

My wife got the #2 Combo, which comes with the Mean Cow chicken sandwich, a chicken tender, and fries — and holy cow, that combo is a meal and a half! The chicken was super crispy on the outside, tender inside, and packed with flavor.

If you're anywhere near Lynwood, do yourself a favor and pull up to Mean Cow & Mean Chix. Smash burgers, loaded fries, and crispy chicken done...
