El Gallo Giro is one of those well known gems in LA, but if you're not from around here, I suggest you visit! This place has an amazing variety of Mexican food you wouldn't find at a taco shop. They have tamales, champurrado, tortas, caldos, carnitas, and so many more options. And they're all soooo good! The atmosphere is great, and the service is amazing. The people at the counter always make sure to answer all of our questions and welcome even more of them. If you're a love of traditional Mexican food, you won't want to miss out on this place. It reminds me of my grandma's kitchen, and that's INCREDIBLY high praise.

Come to eat here and was disappointed ☹️ the service was not bad but also not great, waited for a little bit to place my order( mind you, there was no line) because they completely ignored me, but it was whatever, I wanted to eat , order the menudo( they only have 1 size) 3 tacos de birria and 2 tacos de al pastor , and 2 small waters and it came out to be a little too expensive for what we got, what blows my mind is the price on the aguas frescas!!!! Come on!!

I love torta cubana, specially double! The online order system is messy, when I arrive to pick up my order it was not ready because I had a balance so the prices online are not the same as in the store . they didn't prepare my food until I have to pay the balance. Instead of saving time I ended up maybe taking longer than if I didn't order online.

Well at first I was a little disappointed when I got home, opened my order and noticed that one of my tacos was missing. I checked my receipt and sure enough, they charged me for six tacos but there were only 5 in the bag. I called the restaurant right away and spoke to someone named Alex. He very nice and apologetic about the whole situation and was determined to make it right. Alex even offered to come by when he got off work to personally drop off the taco! I told him that I could just come by the following day to pick it up. The next day I called to let him I was coming by and not only did he give me the taco, but he threw in an extra one for free and offered me a drink. anyway great food and...

Unprofessional by this short guy cooker. I’ve been going for a burrito with beans rice and cheese the first time they only gave me beans and cheese. I was okay with it. The second time today 05/17/24 asked for the same order and they only gave me beans and cheese again. Made a phone call to them and said its the 2nd time and a lady worker said they can make a new one with rice that it’ll be ready by the time i get there. Never got a new one. They used my same burrito and the short guy was being a B ** about it. Which its fine they reuse my burrito, but just don’t give false information. Hello Peeps i usually don't trust the reviews because some times people have personal problems against the place. I am not from here just staying down the street for work reasons, anyway first thing the service was great fast and friendly, location looks clean and inviting. I ordered La torta Cubana which they claim is there specialty, it was well prepared and tasty the Bolillo (bread) was very dry that tells it was old. But what really bothered me the price 4.25 for a large Agua fresca? Come on i felt like i was in Starbucks the combo was 13 dollars plus, chips not included .
