Ojos Locos Sports Cantina (Lynwood, CA) — Restaurant in Lynwood

Amazing staff! I did not even know they opened another location here in LA till I passed it on the highway one day. Feels like I’m back in the original ojos locos of Texas, and not just how everything is bigger in Texas kind of way. Been to other locations through out the country, and the other so-cal one but by far this might be my favorite. My Ojos were definitely Loco on a friday night. It so happened to be a very fun uniform theme night. Ice cold Beer arrived super fast and seconds later after I ordered. 6.99 for an ice cold cerveza pint is a GREAT price compared to the competition. At the other so-cal location I usually wait 10 minutes plus I don’t know if they do themes. Bar service here was phenomenal and efficient with 3 very attentive bartenders. Music is as loud as a club and that is how most of them are though. As for my food, I did wait more than 20 minutes for 6 wings. But they tasted way better than other wing restaurants though and there was enough going on to keep me occupied. Definitely the nicest and cleanest bathrooms of any Ojos Locos I have ever been to. I am contacting you with a complaint of Humberto your Lynwood Ca Manager. We waited from 4pm outside in line since doors opened at 5pm. Humberto walked passed our table and give us a dirty look then said we are not able to grab any more alcohol. I find that odd since we we have not had one drink at this location yet. The fact that he came up to us and asked “if we are good?” In a aggressive tone surprised us. Honestly this is not ok especially since we waited from 4pm to the opening time. I am not sure what his problem is or why we are being targeted. The whole purpose of us coming here was to watch the game and have a few beers. Apparently my friend and I are not allowed to be served alcohol. First it was my friend and now I am not allowed to buy alcohol. I honestly enjoy your Downey location but the lynwood location I am not too happy with based on our experience with Humberto your manager. They also said he is also the VP of operations. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at this place, thanks to Marlén the bartender. She barely did her job ignored customers, socialized instead of serving, and even forgot my drinks multiple times. When I pointed out that my happy hour drinks weren’t discounted, she made it into a bigger problem than it needed to be, then told me I “better tip well” and held my card hostage for what seems to be an eternity .That’s not just bad service, that’s unethical. I still tipped because her like 5 bucks It seemed like she needed it, but no customer should ever be treated this way. After several mediocre visits in the past, this was the last straw.
