Seen this place online and gave it a shot. I was looking for a carhart style work coat. When a lady employee approached me and offered to help me. Told her what I was looking for. I then preceded to ask her abt the embroidery service's. Told her I was buying one new and had another brand new one from another store, (before i knew of Contrators) she says for seperate fee they will do them both. I said great that way they will match they are company coats. That's when rudly out of no where a dark haired man interrupts the lady and say "sorry our policy is we only embroider an item you bought from the store". Mind you it's a separate fee and I offered to pay ADDIDTIONAL FEE for the out of store coat. I just wanted them to match. I also liked the one stop shop. I was in love with this store when I walked in. I just couldn't believe how ignorant this manager or owner (guy worker) was to me. So I walked out without giving them my business for our company's coats. Our ready mix concrete supply company employs 53 people 33 drivers. They all wanted matching coats. I won't be going back EVER. A good business would sell me the new coat and charge me full price to embroider both coats. I wouldeave HAPPY and tell everyone how happy I am and where I got the coats and buy all my future gear from Contrator clothing...vest, hats, hoodies, coats etc......but there POLICY is what is important to them. NOT COSTUMER SATISFACTION. You never know what a stupid policy might cost you. I would stay away...

I am very disappointed with my purchase of the Timberland Pro 6in A1XJP work boots. After only 3 months of wear, the toe on this $180 work boot got a tear. I told the sales person at Contractor Clothing in Madison Heights, MI that my drywall and remodeling work has me on my knees so the toe construction is critical for my purchase. She recommended these boots to me. Upon trying to return the boots, the sales person shook her head seeing the damage, but said I would have to submit a warranty claim to Timberland and she wouldn’t recommend these boots again. Timberland’s response to warranty claim SA145980 was that the damaged product is not covered by warranty.
If you do anything but walk in your boots, do NOT buy these Timberland boots. If you already own them, go to Danner or Keen dot com and buy a rubber toe guard to epoxy over the toes of these boots.
Remove the Timberland label too, because unlike a hard working tradesman Timberland doesn’t stand behind...
Read moreI needed clothing embroidered with my company logo as a christmas gift for employees. I called ahead and spoke to an employee at Contractors Clothing, and they said that they could complete the embroidering work prior to christmas. I then went into the store to purchase the clothing to embroider, but they did not have any Carhartt women's hoodies. So, while at the store, I spoke to another employee and said I was going to run to the Carhartt store in Detroit and bring back the women's hoodies I wanted embroidered, and was told "no problem". I dropped off all of the sweatshirts, and paid for the embroidery work... That evening at 6:00 I received a call saying they could not do the embroidery because it was on outside merchandise. Long story short, they completely wasted my time and I had to make another trip just to pick up my merchandise. Now this close to Christmas, I can't find anyone that will complete the work in time. You wasted my time, I (or any of my employees) will...
