Club Venetian Banquet Center — Attraction in Madison Heights

We had our wedding reception here a couple weeks ago and looked at a lot of halls prior to booking. Trust me when I tell you to do yourself a favor and just go straight here. Or at least make sure they are in the top 3 you check out. Bill and Linda made the entire experience enjoyable and stress free. You get ALOT for your money and the hall is very nice and well maintained. We booked Club Venetian based on price, facilities, and overall value. We actually never got around to tasting the food until the actual reception, but whenever we told anyone that's where it was the first thing they would say was that the food is amazing. And it WAS IT EVER!! Our menu was as follows:

Standard meat and cheese trays for appetizers along with two hot ones: We chose sesame chicken and spanakopita.

Dinner consisted of: Pasta Bolognese Meatballs with marinara sauce Parmesan crusted chicken Beef Tenderloin Green & yellow beans with carrots. Garlic mashed redskins Ceaser salad About 3-4 various side salads Late night slider bar

EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT!! The meat was cooked perfectly and was not dry at all. In my opinion, the food and the music are the two most important parts of the reception and Club Venetian delivered on the food with no exceptions. Our head server (Liz) was awesome and continually checked in with us to make sure we were well taken care of and that everything was running smoothly. Everyone we talked to after said they also thought the food was on top of their list for best ever at a wedding.

Do yourself a favor and upgrade from the pizza bar to the slider bar. They have burger sliders and pulled pork sliders. Both were OUT OF THIS WORLD!! I had a 18th Birthday/Graduation party for my daughter a few days ago. I had an agreement with them to use the banquet hall for 5 hours which was to end at 11:30 pm. Ms. Lisa the supervisor that night approached me 1 hour before our party ends and told me to pack my stuff at 11:00 that was 30 minutes before the party ends like taking off the decorations e.g. centerpieces, 2 posters, 2 posters boards with pictures of my daughter. She told the DJ Dave to end at 11:00. He asked me, if we’re staying until 11:30 and I said yes cause that was our agreement for 5 hours hall rental. As I was packing my stuff at 11:00 the DJ asked me why I’m packing already, I told him the supervisor told me that I have to packed 30 minutes before my party ends. The DJ said “that’s rude, there’s no way I can pack quickly, my stuff takes to pack at least 40 minutes. So, I was taking my stuff to my car and my guests was watching me. It was embarrassing to me. And also, Instead of spending time with my guests, I was busy getting my stuff down and taking it to my car. I should be taking my stuff down and taking it to my car after my party ends. We held a post wedding day lunch for our out-of-town guests and family (90ppl). We are a big family spread across the US and we primarily see each other at weddings and funerals. The majority of our guests raved about the food but we had a DJ and the owner of the venue repeatedly came in telling us to turn down the music because there were other parties taking place in the adjacent rooms. They knew we were having a DJ and music was going to be played (it's a celebration) so it damped the mood quite a bit. I should warn you, if any guests bring a gift set that includes anytype of alcohol in it, it will be held by management in their office until the completion of your event. I understand that most venues do not allow you to bring in outside alcoholic beverages since they have a bar (btw, we had an open bar) but Club Venetian is extremely strict about even receiving gift sets that are wrapped and boxed which can be identified as alcohol. A couple of our guests immediately had their gifts confiscated before they had the opportunity to present it to us.

Although many of our guests enjoyed the food, I personally would not book another event here. I would only recommend this venue if you don't have any entertainment or if you do, book the entire venue to save yourself headaches while trying to...
