I placed an order for delivery, but within 30 mins was delivered someone else's order. Which was Grubhub's fault and rectified by them. I immediately pressed the express reorder button in the app, and in 25 minutes I was delivered the correct order. My 2nd order was placed at 8:34pm and I had it in my hand by 9pm.
At first, I immediately noticed that the fries were cold. I dumped them out of the cup, and only the very core was still even luke warm. My sub, which was a grilled sub, was also warmish. I remembered when I got the other person's order, how it was really warm since it had been made 20 minutes prior to me having it. So I got the idea to place it right next to my new sub and it's technically a bit warmer.
Penn Station always cooks the fries to order, so there's never any sitting around like McDonalds. I reached out to Penn Station just to inform them that it happened and yes, to tell them how I did not like that they gave me cold fries.
The immediate answer from the gentleman who answered was that it couldn't be true because they "cook them to order everytime". When I tried to explain more he then pivoted to how the driver must've "taken his sweet time". Which I quicly reminded him that at the time of calling, it had only been 30 minutes since I had placed the order in the app and that 25 mins delivery does not mean the driver took his sweet time.
I tried pressing the subject about my situation, and I even asked if the driver had taken my order during the first mixup and they confirmed with me that no, the driver didn't take it. Which confirmed everything I had already assumed happened. To me, the fries felt and tasted exactly as fries do when they've been left out for an hour.
All I wanted to do was to call and say that it wasn't right, and that they should have at least cooked new fries. I knew since I ordered through Grubhub, that Penn Station wasn't going to directly help me. I'm also not that picky, and in my opinion the sub was still fine at that point. But fries are NOT good when they go cold, and they arrived cold.
Even though my first order got mixed up, I gotta give Grubhub credit for getting both of those deliveries to my in less than 30 mins. I'm not sure I've had that in...

I ordered a large steak and cheese and a small fry,then I ordered a cookie.Lomg story short I said no muchrooms and ONLY HEAVY MAYO! I get to work can't wait to eat my sandwich I go to my truck grab the sandwich and it's full of red stuff. I tried it and it was gross. I was mad and trashed it. I go home go to sleep wake up and think what was that red stuff. I called and the cashier said it was probably pizza sauce ,maybe some was left over on the spatula. I said PIZZA SAUCE ugh,she asked did I want a replacement or refund and that I would need to speak to a manager. The manager came to the phone, really not interested in what I had to say she acted like I was lying about my order so she pulled up my orders and said it say pizza sauce . I said I only wanted heavy mayo as a condiment and she didn't really care . I asked for a replacement and she said No only 50% off. Wow I spent about $25 total and literally only had a bite of steak sub and the fries looked like soggy brown worms so I trashed those before even going to work. I wasted my money and time and the female manager really didn't care....
Read moreI stopped in to get a sandwich this evening and I walked in to what I thought there was a lot of customers and it was that it was the employs switching Shifts So I ordered and I went down and paid For the sandwich when 4 to 5 people walked out of the back Room only one person was at the cash register and I kept CM people walking back-and-forth into the back Fumbling with their purses and backpacks When I notice to more people went behind the counter and I thought well that's odd for them not to wash their hands but there was one lady in front of me and 1 gentleman behind me but 3 people that left out of the back Room ordered their sandwiches and they got them way before the lady before me and the gentleman after me before we all got our sandwidges I was there 26 minutes waiting for my sandwich I don't think I'm gonna go back to this 1 again for a long long time they were not on the ball when they did not wash their hands when they were touching their personal stuff and then handling food that just turned me off so there was good food and good help a few months ago but now as of today I can say no I won't be back for...
