Hands down thee best pizza I’ve had in Michigan! This placed is always packed, but I sit patiently and wait for a table no matter what. I am a fan of their pepperoni and don’t get me started on the candied bacon! Two of my favorites (bbq sauce and bacon) married to make this bada$$ appetizer. But back to the pizza, we order the “everything “; however, we ditch the ham for extra pepperoni and we request well done so those beautiful small sized pepperoni’s have just the right crisp. Have the pizza with a nice glass/bottle of red wine. It that’s not your “thing”, give the Moscow Mule a shot. Salads are awesome here too. Oh and if you’re worried about having leftover pizza and what it will taste like the next day? Pop that sucker in the oven and you will not be disappointed. I have heard this place being compared to Primo’s in Birmingham, ummm not so fast, although I can see a slight mirror in the two (size of pepperoni) it can’t hold a candle to Green Lantern Pizza. Do yourself a favor and give this pie a try!!!

It's a very busy place, which was fine, & if you love trivia during your meal & can overlook terrible pizza sauce, oily salad dressing, & a musty smelling bathroom, this might be the place for you. The cheese bread and ranch dressing we're good, everything else was mediocre at best. The antipasto salad has such large chunks of meat & cheese on it, most bites are either all meat & cheese or all lettuce & onion. The dressing is incredibly oily, even when moving it as we were pouring, it still tasted like pure oil on the lettuce. The pizza sauce literally tasted like tomato paste with a tiny bit of seasoning. My husband and I were only able to choke down one piece of pizza each before we lost our appetite. Lastly, aside from it being pretty dark & dingy inside the while restaurant, when I went to the ladies room, it also had a fairly noticeable musty smell. I'm allergic to mold very have been sneezing since we went there. I know people seem to love them, but our excellence it is not worth the wait or the price.

How the gate, the server was great and she did a great job! This place came to me as the top recommendation from a colleague, and just to spare you the time and energy: it's basically Jets Pizza with a bachelors degree. I ordered a large pizza, because my colleague said 'you're gonna wanna take this back to Chicago'. The pizza itself is not bad at all. I love the texture and the height of it, but the flavor leaves much to be desired. The same way I have to augment the pizza with lots of seasoning with Jets Pizza is the same process I have to do for this one. The pizza LOOKS good if that counts for something, but just not my vibe. To be fair, I don't think it's bad pizza; perhaps just not for me. I don't like the sauce under the cheese for D-Style, and for the pizza to have so much cheese, it doesn't have the flavor I was expecting. Be prepared to empty the salt shaker on a single slice.

Let me start by saying: Green Lantern Pizza in Madison Heights is the only pizza place I’ve dined in while visiting Michigan—and it absolutely does not disappoint.

The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. It feels like a sports bar, but without the rowdy, loud energy where someone gets too drunk and ruins the vibe. It’s family-oriented, relaxed, and a place where anyone can feel comfortable—something I really appreciate. Big-screen TVs are always playing sports, and as a Canadian, I was thrilled that both times I visited, the hockey game was on. That small detail made me feel right at home.

The seating booths are also worth mentioning—they're surprisingly roomy, and you never feel crammed in. Not bad at all for a medium-sized restaurant. It made the whole experience more relaxed and enjoyable.

Now, onto the food—because that’s why you’re reading this, right? I came in from Windsor with an open mind and didn’t want to compare Michigan pizza to what I'm used to back home. Truth is, they’re different experiences—and Michigan clearly knows how to do pizza right.

I tried the BBQ Chicken, Hawaiian, and Pepperoni. All were solid, but the BBQ Chicken (cut in that signature square style) stole the show. Even the small size is generous—perfect for one very hungry adult. The dough tastes fresh, the sauce is balanced just right, and the crust is soft and flavorful in every bite. I was skeptical at first, but I was happily proven wrong. The price is also quite good—not overly expensive or cheap, just the right amount for the quality and portion size you get.

Also, a shoutout to the staff—they're professional, friendly, and attentive. Even though it’s seat-yourself when you arrive, you’ll be greeted and served quickly—within 5 minutes in my experience—and they’ll make sure you leave full, happy, and satisfied.

I’ve been here at least three times now, and I’ll keep coming back—maybe even until the day a Canadian team finally wins the Stanley Cup!

Great job, Green Lantern. Five...

It was recommended that I stop in here by a couple family members (one who lives in the area near here). I must say that if it were not mentioned to me, I probably would have driven by and not thought anything of it. Mostly because I am not in the area often, and also because this place mostly just looks like your typical local non descriptive local bar.

Upon entering you may notice that it seems, quite dark, maybe even a bit dingy. In my opinion, that is part of what initially drew me in, and made me want to sit down and give this place a try. The staff is friendly, and service is prompt. Once you settle in, you will see that in interior is clean, but also has a very "old timely" bar feel. Several of the booths that are available for you to sit at are raised up on to an elevated floor area of sorts, which was also a feature you don't find at many places, and that I also found to be quite neat and unique. With all of that being said, we definitely need to move on to what most of this entire review is based upon...

THE FOOD. Since this is a pizzeria of sorts (though it doesn't look like your average pizza joint) it very much is, and really what this place is known for. The pizza really is outstanding (I think I had the Hawaiian myself and maybe a slice or two of their Deluxe/Supreme). I don't really know what it is that makes their pies so delicious (I'm no Chef, I just have an affinity for good eats), but there really is something that sets them apart from other pizzas you may run across regularly.

If you're in the area, give these guys a try. Even if you're not, get someone who is, to go pick it up and get it to you and into your mouth as soon...

Green Lantern Pizzeria is a popular restaurant located in the heart of Madison Heights, Michigan. The restaurant has built a reputation for serving some of the best pizza in town, and the food definitely lives up to the hype.

The pizza at Green Lantern is simply amazing. From the crispy crust to the perfectly melted cheese and delicious toppings, every bite is bursting with flavor. The menu offers a variety of pizza options, including classic pepperoni, veggie, and meat lovers, as well as some unique creations like the Mediterranean pizza.

In addition to pizza, Green Lantern also serves a range of other delicious Italian dishes, such as pasta, salads, and sandwiches. The food is fresh, flavorful, and made with high-quality ingredients.

While the food at Green Lantern is outstanding, the service can be hit or miss. Some servers are friendly and attentive, while others can be a bit slow or inattentive. However, the overall experience is still enjoyable, and the food more than makes up for any minor issues with service.

The atmosphere at Green Lantern is cozy and welcoming, with a laid-back vibe that's perfect for a casual night out. The restaurant is family-friendly and a popular spot for locals to gather with friends and enjoy some delicious pizza and drinks.

Overall, Green Lantern Pizzeria is a must-visit for anyone looking for some of the best pizza in Michigan. While the service can be a bit hit or miss, the food is truly outstanding and worth the trip. Highly...
