Review: Wife Pillow - Innovative Concept with Room for Improvement Pros: The concept of the Wife Pillow is truly amazing, especially for side sleepers. It’s like a dream come true for those who like to tuck their hands under the pillow while sleeping. The pillow features four tunnels underneath, allowing you to position your hands comfortably when lying on your side. This thoughtful design element is a significant plus. Cons: While the pillow’s size is substantial—though not necessarily a downside—it’s something to be aware of. The pillow has six chambers and four tunnels connecting them, which initially seemed like a great feature. However, if the pillow you receive isn’t soft or firm enough for your liking, you might find yourself in a bit of a predicament. In my case, I needed to add more filling, but distributing it evenly through the tunnels that connect the chambers was nearly impossible. Originally, I ordered a memory foam-filled version, but my order was delayed for nearly a month. Upon inquiry, I was informed it was backordered and wouldn’t ship for another few weeks. I was offered the option to receive a feather-filled version immediately, which I accepted, making sure to specify that I needed a medium-firm pillow. Unfortunately, I received a softer one, causing my head to sink uncomfortably. When I reached out to the company, they promptly sent me memory foam filling for free, which was appreciated. However, filling the chambers and tunnels to achieve the right level of firmness proved to be a tedious process. I had to adjust multiple times before it felt somewhat comfortable, but I’m still not fully satisfied, especially considering the price. Additionally, the pillow tends to make me feel hotter at night, and the pillow cover that came with it was of poor quality. The cover ripped at the ends, and it caused my head and chin to slide down rather than stay supported. I reached out again and was told I’d be sent a cooling pillow cover, which I’m still waiting on. I’ll update my review once I’ve had a chance to try it. Final Thoughts: The Wife Pillow is an innovative product with a lot of potential, but it needs some tweaks to truly shine. The concept is fantastic, but the execution, particularly regarding communication and customer service, leaves room for improvement. Communication is key to success in this business, and I hope the company takes this...
Read moreI am a side sleeper and no matter how hard I try not to sleep with my arms under my pillow, it happens every night. When I sleep on my left side, my left arm is under my pillow. This causes pain and I wake to switch to sleep on my right side with my right arm under my pillow. This happens at least once an hour and I am not sure the last time I had a night of uninterrupted sleep.
I have tried sleeping with long wrist braces to minimize the pain in my lower arms and even started putting wide, hard tubes on my biceps in an attempt to stop the pain on my upper arms. Nothing worked.
I found the Wife Pillow and was excited to give it a try. I ordered the down alternative fiber fill version. After only one night, the pain in my lower arms stopped because the pillow prevented the weight of my head from being on my lower arms and wrists. I still did notice that my head was heavy on my upper arms. Wife Pillow makes it easy to contact them. A number to text was included in the packaging of my pillow. I reached out to the number to ask about the inserts and toppers.
Within minutes, I received a response from Wife Pillow and they were so helpful in recommending the best option for me. In fact, it was the owner that reached back out to me directly. With his recommendation, I ordered the cooling pad topper as this is one of the harder topper options. Using this topper has decreased the amount of weight that is put on my upper arms at night. It almost acts like a shelf for my head so that my arms don’t absorb any of the pressure at all!
Not only was the team at Wife Pillow helpful in recommending a topper, but they sent me extra stuffing and followed-up to make sure that I would get my topper and stuffing quickly. They even sent me a prototype of a Wife Pillow filled with shredded memory foam, which offers even more support!
It is so great to know that this company cares about their customers and goes the extra mile to make sure they meet the needs of their customers. I have never had a customer experience as great as the service I received from...
Read moreI purchased the wife pillow due to recurring shoulder pain while I sleep. I am 6’2”, 250 lbs, and a side sleeper. My arms and hands were constantly going numb. My sleep quality was absolutely terrible for months due to constantly waking up and having to flip over because of the tingling in my arms and hands.
I began researching pillows and was between the wife pillow and the Medcline pillow. I ultimately went with the wife pillow because I travel a lot and planned on taking the pillow to hotel rooms. The wife pillow is large but much more portable than the Medcline. The Medcline also is designed with an incline, so your spine is not aligned while sleeping, but it’s the nature of how it is designed (to place your arm in the hole).
I have been sleeping on the wife pillow for about a month, and my sleep has drastically improved. No more tingling in my arms and hands, therefore no more tossing and turning.
I bought the wife pillow with the cooling memory foam. I read the directions included which said for side sleepers over 6’ tall, typically the foam inside the pillow does not need adjustment, so I did not add or take away any foam. The pillow thickness and height seemed perfect for me as it was shipped. The pillow did come with a small bag of extra cooling memory foam.
The pillow has a zippered T-shirt style cover that comes on it. I did not purchase another cover due to the high price of $69.99 and the fact I wasn’t sure if I’d like and keep the pillow. I may buy another cover, but dang that seems way too expensive for a pillow cover!
I highly recommend this pillow if you are a side sleeper and suffer from tingling arms and hands while you sleep. Prior to having this pillow, I was relying on medication to knock me out so I could get a decent nights sleep.
Fantastic product!...
