Real Taco Express is an absolute gem of a Mexican restaurant! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a genuine Mexican ambiance that made me feel right at home. The experience was truly delightful, and I can't wait to share my thoughts about this fantastic eatery.

First and foremost, the food at Real Taco Express is nothing short of exceptional. Each dish is bursting with authentic Mexican flavors, prepared with care and attention to detail. Whether it's their tacos, burritos, enchiladas, or quesadillas, every bite is a delightful explosion of taste that leaves your taste buds craving for more. Their extensive menu caters to both meat lovers and vegetarians, offering a wide range of options to suit everyone's preferences.

The ingredients they use are fresh and of the highest quality, and you can really taste the difference it makes. The salsa bar adds an extra layer of excitement to the dining experience, offering an array of flavorful salsas to complement your meal perfectly.

Beyond the food, the staff at Real Taco Express truly goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable visit. They are friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with any special requests or dietary preferences. The service is prompt and efficient, allowing you to savor your meal without any unnecessary delays.

The restaurant's atmosphere is inviting and vibrant, making it an ideal spot for a casual lunch with friends or a cozy dinner with family. The decor and music transport you to the heart of Mexico, adding to the overall charm of the dining experience.

Furthermore, the prices are reasonable and provide excellent value for the quality of food and service offered. Real Taco Express is a true hidden gem that delivers an authentic taste of Mexico in every dish.

In conclusion, I highly recommend Real Taco Express to anyone who craves genuine Mexican cuisine served with passion and dedication. This restaurant is a true culinary delight, and I can't wait to return for another satisfying meal. A big thumbs up to Real Taco Express for a...

Since moving to Michigan from Texas in 2017, I have been on the prowl for a quality Mexican cuisine experience. After exploring recommended places around the area, from Mexico Lindo and Super Taco to Miguel's and the Sagebrush Cantinas, and other locals such as Que paso Taco, I have decided that this is my new favorite place. The #6 and the #7 red tacos with the consommé blew my expectations away. Their steak supreme had bigger portions than I expected, the tortilla was crispy, and the meat was just right for me. I'm not sure if it's the way they do their sauces, or the quality of the meat, or how they like to cook and double stagger their corn tortillas for extra ingredients, but everything was so dialed and scrumptiously delicious. The prices are pretty on-par with the local region. Staff is very friendly + a fabric of the culture, the interior of the facility is nice, there are boiths and chairs. Max capacity is limited due to dimensional size, but there is a cute little patio upon the entrance overlooking 14 Mile, there's some decent people watching across the street, I think they have umbrellas they put out in the summer. My only critique would be they need to add a bike rack for all the cycling traffic they get at that place. Some of the staff commute by bicycle, as well as many of their patrons. So that might be a nice addition to the front and it would clean up some of the stacked bikes stashed in the front of the restaurant. Another thing would be adding some music to the ambiance. There's not typically any music playing, and the conversations can get quite loud as they echo off the tight walls in there. There. Other than that, this place is 100% good...

It's Tuesday and when I drove by my mind screamed "TACOS!". I listened. Nice menu, solid selection. The woman who took my order was pleasant & reasonably helpful given English is not her first language. Table was sticky, though. I ordered the #10 Flour Taco Supremes (almost $16 w/tax), 2 pastor, 1 with chorizo. I like the chorizo more but it is noticeably greasy. The food came quickly and as requested. Beans and rice are in paper containers, not styrofoam. Could've been hotter temps but the food wasn't cold by any stretch. There is a tray of basic taco sauce packets but the heat of them is wimpy. No jalapeño or habenero options. Not until after I finished did I see the bottles of sauce on literally every other table. (No points for observation skills today). Everything is less authentic than I'd prefer but quick and tasty, for sure. I'll gladly come back, try something different & sample them sauces. A bit noisy inside, mostly the customers, should've gone outside. 14 spaces in the lot, 1 is handicapped. Street parking...

I thought I'd finally try this place today and even though I balked at the outrageous prices for some of the items, I decided to try it anyway. I ordered nachos and sopapilla's to go. I live nearby so it wasn't long until I was digging in. I noticed that there weren't any chips showing in the nachos but dug in with a fork thinking they were just covered up. Imagine my surprise when I found one (1) single layer of tortilla chips under the mountain of salad and over salted ground beef. Seriously? Just one layer?? I kid you not, it couldn't have even been 10 chips total! It costs $15.39 for these nachos and you skimped out on the cheapest part. What a joke. This place should be called Real Trick Express if thus is your idea of serving people what they paid for. While the sopapillas were okay, it is not enough to overshadow the theft of my money. Never again! I will never waste my money or my time here again and I will not recommend anyone else do so either.
