These ladies are my heroes and I almost feel like there needs to be more stars for this review.

My life had fallen apart. My husband of 28 years (33 together) had left me and we were going through a divorce. As if that were not enough, he caught COVID from being at fire camp while fighting a huge wildland fire. And he died. In my tears and sorrow, I had been struggling to pick up the pieces. One of the pieces of life was the jewelry I had. My wedding set, my anniversary band, mother's rings, and such. My adult children did not want them. I could not bring myself to wear them. Life had been shattered and having those items just reminded me of what had been lost.

So I began looking for options.

I came across 21C Designs on Pinterest under a search for ring re-designs. I loved the pictures I saw on their website and it gave me a few ideas. I sent them a message and got a very quick reply.

They set up a on-line meeting and we talked for a bit. By the end of our conversation, they had a sketch of exactly what I wanted. It was so easy to talk to them and they listened. It was magic and I knew it was going to be perfect.

All through the process they were very supportive and let me know exactly what each step was. We met on-line a few more times just to make sure the new ring would be exactly right.

And it was exactly right. I LOVE IT!!! They were able to take the jewelry which had represented my little shattered life and put it back together into a stronger, more beautiful, and better version. Just like how I am working on doing with my life. I wear it everyday and am so grateful. For me, it now represents my newly redesigned happiness as I move on.

I had some small random diamond jewelry and I had my grandmother's (Gabie) engagement ring from the 1920s. I had broken and lost the filigree on one side of the setting so the ring was ruined and no longer wearable. I had been wishing I knew what to do to be able to somehow wear the diamond again. I put my random gold necklaces and earrings and the random diamonds in a ziplock bag and it lay in my jewelry box forever UNTIL I saw an article about 21C Designs in the E List coastal newsletter. I made an appointment and visited Jaime and Katherine in their most unique and beautiful office in downtown Madison. They showed me actual jewelry that they had redesigned in unique styles and I was sold. They created a necklace that "spills" the diamonds and I love it! The remaining piece of filigree from Gabie's engagement ring was added to my existing diamond necklace (not included with the other jewels) by attaching it to the bail. My fiancé and I cannot recommend 21C Designs highly enough. We had an excellent experience working with Katherine and Jaime to design a custom engagement ring using stones from heirloom jewelry.
