To put it simply, Meep Meepleton’s World of Fun is the best vintage toy store that I have visited in Wisconsin. Dave, the owner is welcoming and warm. Even before speaking with him, I felt as though I could trust him simply by walking through his store. He has amazing examples of Thundercats figures still on their cards, and any defects in the packaging were clearly labeled and reflected in the pricing. This was refreshing after the owner of a different toy store in the area openly admitted to me that he would carefully try to glue the packaging of action figures back together but cautioned me: “You have to be careful because some of these guys will send them out to be graded.” The owner of a 3rd toy store in the area told me that he would sometimes just use shipping tape to reinforce the packaging of action figures. I was speechless. I showed pictures of my carded He-Man MOTU action figures that I have been hauling around with me for decades to the owners of the competing toy stores. The others were rather blasé about the prospect of helping me sell my collection. I walked away from the others either feeling like I had been a nuisance or that I was being sized up for an easy mark.
In contrast, Dave at Meep’s was full of expert advice with just a glint of childlike excitement hiding behind his eyes. After showing Dave the pictures, he offered to close his store early the following week so that I could bring the action figures over for him to check out. Dave offered terms of consignment which were more favorable to me than what the other guys had offered. Plus, Dave brings extra value with an amazing network of toy collectors and toy creators to help him market and appraise his toys. My wife has her own collection of toys that Dave is appraising and is going to help us sell. I can’t express how grateful that I am to have met Dave or how much I look forward to seeing my toys which if I don’t say so myself are actually pretty cool taking their place on his absolutely amazing shelves holding all that wonder and fun from years...
Read moreMeep Meepleton's is incredible and I think I'd have to write an essay or novel to describe why.
I sure am going to try.
First off, I'd like to consider myself the (un?)official meep's ambassador. We can talk to Dave but it's a volunteer gig. Which I love and would have forever, if permitted.
The first time I went here (which I only found because the name clicked my brain pen and the giant Garfield sign signed the contract) was the best; every time since, has been the same!
Mr Meep and all the meepletons (that I've met so far) are incredible. Like worker elves selecting the best toys in the land.
I've found so much incredible stuff here, that has made my child/teen/adult/goblin self so happy. If you want vintage memorabilia, toys, and just overall joy.
You. Need. To. Come. Here.
I've found so many more precious treasures members to add to my family.
And made so many real friends too, like Dave and Kevin!
At least...
I think they're real....
This place is too good...
Read moreThis place is everything I could ever dream of and MORE! I saw a little flyer for Meep Meepleton's at the comic book store, and I was told that it was an amazing place to find new and old collectables. So, I decided to take a look. This place did NOT disappoint! It had the collector in me screaming with joy! Initially, I was looking for a place to mass sell a bunch of my action figures that I wasn't collecting anymore. While I was still able to sell a lot of my stuff to the owner, Dave, I still walked away with tons more! Out with the old, in with the new (even though the new was still old.)
You will find everything here. From Star Wars to X-Files, Barbies to Superheroes. I have gone there 3 times, and the place has been rearranged each time. It's kind of hilarious! But, he gets in a lot of new stuff and is always putting more stuff out, so he's got to make the room for it! I also heard that they are opening a painting studio right above the shop, which I am also...
