The Annex — Local services in Madison

WAY overpriced. To see amateur rappers ( my friend was performing) on a poorly lit stage with marginal sound and zero atmosphere, I'd say they are a bit too proud of their venue. I generously gave them 2*'s because they had my friend performing g there. TBH I really disliked the set up. The bar was not busy and spendy (think 6$ canned beer) and the selection was marginal at best. There are limited venues in Madison for live music, So I gave them a star for actually hosting live acts. I really didn't like the place much at all. The bouncwr/ security officer went through EVERYTHING I had on my oerson with a fine toothed comb, I guess because it was a gip-hop performance but he just enjoyed putting guests through the ringer a...

Had an awesome seeing Big Buck Beezy and Seckond Chaynce food was great and on top of that one of the few all ages shows so I was able ro bring my daughter's and naturally they were the super stars !!! I came here to see Tuk Smith and the Restless Hearts on a whim last Friday. I was thoroughly impressed with this venue. It's got adequate space, the atmosphere is cool and the sound was good as well.

Friendly staff and reasonably priced drinks make this a great live music...
